    Howdy all. Hope things are well. Its fish Friday around these parts. Cincinnati has a huge Catholic tradition and so for Lent every organization around hosts a fish fry. This year they were drive thru only (just snake cars through the parking lot ya know) While we aren't religious, we do love a good fried fish. I don't fry things at home because it's unhealthy, and it's messy and I usually burn myself lol. Anyway. We had a great dinner. What's everyone else up to?

    I have no family heirloom items. I wasn't and am not close with the majority of them, on both sides. My favorite appliance is my hot water kettle. I'd say coffee pot but the one I have was a quick replacement buy and I actually hate it Lol

    I feel the same about hurricanes. I grew up in South Florida I have vivid middle school memories of being in the bathroom with a mattress over me for hurricane Andrew.

    You're so right, plenty of folks who have no business being out drive around in the snow. And here in southern Ohio no one owns snow tires or anything.....heck the city can barely keep up with plowing and salting. 17 inches is like.....our season average. For us, 2 or 3 inches at once is a big deal most winters. And thank you, I also hope I don't have to sleep at work but it'll be like an adventure!

    The local news said tonight we may have 17 inches of snow by Tuesday morning. Thts more than we've had at once in probably 25 years. I've already made plans to take a bag to work because I may sleep in the office Monday. I have zero desire to drive in that and I am essential and must work. No worries all, I have an adult child and my mother who is a homemaker to care for Little One so aside from missing me the 5 yr old won't be harmed by my absence.

    Hey everyone. My area got walloped with snow Monday night and again right now. We dont usually get this much and it's awful. My commute home took nearly 2 hours. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow morning either.

    Hey all. Its super cold here. I'm doing ok. Nothing big to report. Little one has the entrance interview tomorrow with the day school we are looking at. That's it.

    Hey all. Just got off a web conferenceabout nursing home visitation in Ohio and if/when restrictions will change when taking vaccination efforts in mind. It was lots of questions, no answers. The state department of health and the center for medical and Medicaid will have a meeting in Feb 1 to discuss the questions we are submitting. Sigh.

    Hey all. Hope things are going well. I had my second shot early this week so by next Thursday I should be at top defense against covid 19. I got a new car, cant remember if I told y'all before. My old one died after 13 years. I'm happy with this one but I don't love it like I loved my old one. But it's affordable and economical. So. Its fine. Hmm. I don't have much to report. Ivebeen reading some great stories lately on kindle unlimited..... Yup. That's it. Hope to hear good things from y'all

    I am doing good today Sold my poor broke down car. It was time. Bought a new one and taking delivery on Thursday. I'm not looking forward to having a car payment again. But needs must. I live too far into suburbia to not drive. We don't even have mass transit routes within 5 miles of my house.

    Thanks all. Its shaping up to be an ok week. We had only 1 positive case from our testing yesterday and no deaths in 48 hours now. Hoping we are past the worst. Post vaccine update: 6 hours post injection and no adverse reactions. My arm isn't sore or anything. And I was 'that person' who took selfies for my Insta lol

    Guess who Got the covid Vaccine this morning!??!?! ME!!!! I'm 2 hours post injection now and feel fine. Second dose will be on jan. 12
