I always get the worst indigestion.... No matter what color they are or how they're prepared.
I've had tofu before in many ways. I feel like it doesn't taste like much, it absorbs whatever it's in. I prefer it crisped in a pan though, for texture

I've seen this type of salad before. I have not made it because I'm allergic to cucumber and I dislike the texture of uncooked tomatoes, but it's a popular summer salad here in the states
It's very grey in Ohio during January too. We've lucked out though and it's been very mild for the most part. Mid 40s•F most of this week and some of last week. Not bad for winter.
