  1. If Kyan was bi leaning to men or simply just gay, I feel like this story would be looking very different. There is no hint that either of those things are part of Kyan's reality. I agree that Kyan is relatively clueless but probably not lazy lol
  2. It's anyone's game at this point. Max isn't out yet!
  3. No you're not.
  4. Pear KyAx
  5. Honestly, she kind of is. Drastic mood swings. Out of sorts one day, dressed to the nines the next? Biting... It's not looking good for her.
  6. PerryAnn. Really? Is that the best shipping option?
  7. Jesus. Were you bit by a spider? You come back and this is what you bring with you???
  8. I know we're all feeling a little let down that she popped back up. Oh well. Good things can't last.
  9. Factory reset.
  10. Max is pretty great AND he knows exactly what Perry has to offer. Nothing for him to figure out. No big ah ha! moments for Max. I agree that Perry didn't "see" Max at the Halloween party, but that could change at the birthday party, when the chaos is a little less. Halloween is a weird hook up time unless that's what your intentions are.
  11. I mean, Kyan is doing what he can lol. Could he be better? Absolutely. The real question. Do you want him to be better at it?
  12. Great future dating men who buy her drinks? Yikes lol
  13. If Perry had worn tights, the storyline would have ended there. Kyan no doubt would have been like "yep, I'm gay for him".
  14. Good points here. Can't comment on much, though we will see lots happening in the next few chapters. Max and Perry weren't given a great opportunity to mingle. There were kids everywhere. I would imagine Perry was on high alert. Maybe the birthday party will be better.
  15. Yet...
  16. And every single piece is worth coveting.
  17. There were only a couple of cars in Mo’latte’s parking lot when Kyan whipped his Honda Pilot into one of the spots next to Max. The blond with his hair coiffed perfectly jumped out of his SUV and waved wildly. “Is Miss Wild Thang with you?” Max asked, shouting over the roar of traffic from Highway 211. Kyan nodded, then laughed as Max bolted to the back seat, where he took a wide-eyed and slightly terrified toddler from her car seat. “What in the hello jello is going on here? Where’d the wi
  18. I don't think he meant anything negatively. @Hero did his research and posted about it factually. It's possible there is no motive at all, just a general observation. I could be wrong, but I will always lead with grace and giving them the benefit of the doubt.
  19. I’m sure there are authors that post here hoping to go big. If they do, they are posting their work several other places as well (as they should be if that’s the end goal). Mostly, I think we’re posting for the enjoyment. Writing is labor intensive but something we choose to do, much like people who draw, paint, crochet, etc and then post on Instagram or Facebook. GA is our artistic outlet and a great community. With that said, publishers and scouts are very aware of GA. They’re on the site. If they see something they like, they’ll reach out to the author.
  20. Get out.
  21. Me? A cane?
  22. This story is incredibly heart wrenching in its realism. The world puts kids and family on a pedestal, “the American dream”, but the journey @kbois takes us on is a peek at the harsh reality of life when it’s not all roses. Mental health is a serious issue, and we can talk about u til we’re blue in the face. It is HARD. Love is not always enough. If you’re not family with that heartbreak, this story will help you feel what so many go through. Well written and great attention to detail.
