    I think it was a combination of things. Learning more of his bio parents played a part, but mostly, the birth of the girls and in that, discovering how a parent should and can love their children….and realizing that’s exactly how Mike and Julia loved him, was a big deal. It definitely makes you re evaluate things.

    Sometimes you don't know what you have. I think that was Loren when he left. He was still a child. As he grew up and things fell into place, he realized how poorly he handled things with Mike and Julia. Then you wonder if too much time has passed. Of course, that's not the case here. Maybe it took him loving the girls to understand just how much Mike and Julia love him. The girls could come back 20 years later and they would cherish the moment, just like Mike and Julia cherished his return. The sweet love of parents who truly love their kids.

    The almighty and patient Jay gets a wee bit frustrated when his sports are interrupted lol. I'm sure his mom loved every moment. There is something so satisfying when you watch your grandkids give your kid a hard time. How the turntables have turned.

    Keen eye there. I didn't think anyone would pick up on it but yes, Maci and Maeve are very different and it is a reflection of Lars and Loren as kids. Loren worried if he had kids he might do to them what was done to him. Not on purpose, but because he couldn't help it. He didn't. He's embraced both his girls and loves them both unconditionally. Just a little piece to show he's so much better than his sperm donors.
