  1. Then it's time to sit down, put your feet up and relax. You deserve it and you need to look after yourself.
  2. What he said ☝️
  3. Psst, do either of you know of the way to Bearpaw? Maybe we could sneak up on the cabin for a listen.
  4. This is another great chapter that keeps us in the grip of Bearpaw. I'll bet Jubal can't wait for Reid to head back into town, Jubal's probably thinking that he can't decide what looks tastier, Lucas or the grouse stew. Good food in the company of a good-looking man with the personality to go with it, all out in the open air is enough to get anyone's juices going. Get those dirty minds out of the gutter, please. I'm talking about the salivary glands making one's mouth water, I think.
  5. The blog title says it all, childlike simplicity, it's also full of nostalgia. I like it, you can almost feel the love of the memory.

    Chapter 1

There has got to be more to this story, you cannot leave it like this. The storyline draws us in and then leaves us hanging, I want more. I need more. Nice job @Myr, please hear our pleas. 🙏
  7. Good night, sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite.

  12. Jubal and Lucas bring out the best in each other, and they are both starting to realise that. They fit together well in so many ways that it sticks out a mile, I hope it continues this way as they appear to be building more than a house and corrals, to me it looks like they are laying the foundations for a life-long friendship and hopefully more. They are both knowledgeable horsemen, which shows in the respect that they give to these magnificent animals. Horses and dogs are animals that respond well to being treated right, they are more than tamed and can become devoted friends for life, as can the right human. Their attitude towards the wildings reminds me of my dad when he bought a two-year-old that had never been handled, he showed love and patience. He never asked anything of the horse until it accepted and trusted him, he spent days just being there doing nothing except talking gently to the horse and didn't even attempt to touch him until the horse came and nudged him. He and the horse worked well together, my dad named him Benson and used the name My Gentleman Benson in the show ring. As my dad said, he never broke him in, he partnered with him and trained him. My dad never liked the phrase 'to break a horse in', apparently it sounded too negative as a horse should never be broken but encouraged to do its best. Thank you Gary for another great chapter to an excellent story.
  13. I definitely recommend this hard-hitting true-to-life story, it's a very well written story that is guaranteed to have you reaching for the tissues.

  22. I'm not doing too bad, as long as I don't cough, sneeze, laugh or try to lift anything heavy. I'm getting through a lot of swear words lol. How are things with you and Aod?
  23. Another great chapter that gives us a lot to think about. Jubal is certainly a complex character, but not so complex that Lucas can't figure out. Lucas is playing the long game, rather than trying to push Jubal to stay he is giving him the best incentives he can to encourage Jubal to stay. I think that there may be two corrals being built and two sets of oats being laid, one they will physically build together and bait to capture the wildings, and the other is figurative and being built by Lucas to lure Jubal into staying permanently. Lucas knows he has to tread carefully or Jubal will be frightened off. When you add the marks on Jubal's neck to what he has said and his fear of being discovered for his sexual preferences it sounds very much like the marks are the result of Jubal making advances after misinterpreting signals from another cowboy out on the trails, or was it his father, he's lucky to have survived. I hope they are successful in capturing the wildings, and I hope that Lucas can tempt Jubal into staying and feeling safe.
  24. Aloha Albert, I hope you and Steve are having a restful Sunday
