  1. And there's an English saying that goes something like this: "The little fish taste the sweetest."
  2. Hmmm... Surely it's the taste that counts?
  3. I noticed that as well...
  4. And I hear that snake meat is very tasty
  5. Hi, Albert.
  6. Hi, clo! Expect to be maybe finding other things that you mum has secreted away. When my mother died 16 years ago, we found some of the most interesting (and some of them real memory-jerking) things in, and under, drawers, inside boxes in various cupboards, and various other places in the few weeks it took us to slowly empty out her apartment. Amongst the strangest was seven or eight envelopes (some of them in the oddest of places) each containing exactly the amount of cash that she was receiving as her weekly old age pension at the time. And every time we turned up something new would be time for the tears to start again. But usually they were good tears; because the memories were happy ones.
  7. G'day, dug! Doing okay here, thanks. Hope you're surviving the heat and humidity.
  8. Hello, young Albert! Hi, Gary! --------- Cool day here, with plenty of showers. Just the occasional spot of sunshine. Been busy moving things from rented house. I am eventually going to be busy sorting through crates and boxes of belongings, and deciding what to keep and what to eventually get rid of...
  9. I don't believe you, Albert! Stop trying to blame the poor dog.
  10. He's more than just a piece of meat, bro... He looks as though he could be put to some productive work, as well. (And yes: That was your out loud voice.)
  11. Not even the gobbledygook?
  12. Okay. Reckon it must all be Gary's fault, so.
  13. I used the Laugh emoticon for that third attempt, bro, because all I got was the gobbledygook again. [EDIT] I just went back and checked. I can still see the photo from the second time you posted it.
  14. And I could find a few jobs for him. (If he ever gets his lazy ass out of bed...)
  15. Still using the same PC, laptop, smartphone, Val? I was wondering if it's because I'm still using Windows 8.1. I know some of the emoticons that people using Windows 10 use, only show up as icons on my Windows 8.1 laptop...
  16. Would you prefer it if I were to comment on just how debonair, dashing, and handsome you look in the photo, Gary, instead of using the word beautiful to describe you?
  17. And so is your daughter!
  18. No you weren't.
  19. I guessed it had, or you wouldn't have responded with your comment about how beautiful the father and daughter looked.
  20. It worked the second time, Gary. And you are not fat!
  21. Well, there's no danger of me making the same mistake as I made a few weeks ago, as the photo is not even loading in my browser... Just lines and lines of gobbledygook. The following being just a couple of the lines: DAwATYwMAItYTRiMi01MGQ5LTAwAi0wMAoARgAAA7T2nfs%2FF59JmfMlIaH %2FdBwHAECijoFcFolLnDpVmMzoCX0AAAIBDAAAAECijoFcFolLnDpVmMzoCX0ABHLloo0AAAABEgAQALWN3nCwcIVHlH477vBvmS0%3D&thumbnail
  22. I did, thanks. We met at a gas station midway between where we both live, about 20 miles from home for each of us. Got coffees and a bite to eat each, and sat at one of the concrete picnic tables they have outside. Normally we would meet about once a month and have breakfast in the local hotel's dining room. The hotels have not reopened yet, so this has been our fallback position since lockdown.
  23. Hi, Albert! How are you today?
