  1. Whyever not? I've not had the inspiration to write poetry for a while. Although I've a few unfinished pieces I must try and get back to eventually... But most of my creative writing energy just at the moment seems to be directed at prose rather than poetry.
  2. Cheers, Gary The day's actually just about over, as it happens.
  3. A lovely response to that prompt, @Talo Segura!
  4. Gotta head out for a while. Chat yous all later.
  5. Hey, young Albert!
  6. Good afternoon, Gary
  7. I think the hairy arm actually belongs to someone else, and hers is the second arm on the right.
  8. And I believe that person may actually be a woman...

    Chapter 5

And it's beginning to look like that could be the story of Danny's life for the foreseeable future... Or maybe he will work his natural charms on his landlady and room-mate?

    Chapter 5

Thanks for the comment, Tal. I actually got a key when I was still at school, around 17 or 18 years old, and working sometimes till late at night. Before that I was expected to be home in time, before everyone else had gone to bed. I'm not sure whether any of my other friends had one earlier than that. I certainly remember a song that would be sung at someone's 21st birthday party that included two lines that went something like "Now you've got the key to the door, never been twenty-one before" in it. In my early childhood, in England, twenty-one was the age at which a person legally reached adulthood. Having said that, I do remember that, when I was much younger, my mother would sometimes leave the house key tied to a piece of string hanging inside the letter box of the front door. That way, if she knew she wouldn't be home by the time myself or my siblings got home from school, we could let ourselves in. I think the term latchkey kids is sometimes used to describe such a scenario.
  11. Seems a lot like the weather here, clo And good afternoon to you, as well!
  12. B'jour, Nick!
  13. Hi, duggie! Nice day here as well. 17C, bit cloudy, but dry. Hey everyone!
  14. I'll probably be in bed when you get back. It's almost 1:30am here. Enjoy your dinners, Albert & Steve. And enjoy the rest of your day. Night all!
  15. And, if you'd rather have written instructions, here's a page that goes through the steps. https://photographylife.com/how-to-properly-resize-images-in-lightroom
  16. Then you have to go to file/export, if I remember correctly. In the new box there's an option to specify the size you want (again, if I remember correctly).
  17. I use Photoshop. But there are loads of apps available for android or iPhone that will do it. Just search for something like "Image Resize" in Play Store (Android) or App Store (iPhone). Or you can resize images online. Try Googling something like "resize image online".
  18. Maybe you should share some of your captures as well....
  19. I actually have a copy of it on an external hard drive. I must actually watch it one of these days...
  20. About two hours before dark this tonight I felt a pressing need to get out of the house. Even though it was very cloudy, with no sun at all, I couldn't leave Trusty Nikon behind. I stopped by a local lake and took a number of photographs. This was probably the best of the bunch (the flower is Meadowsweet):
  21. Now, I think you're just being silly, Albert. 😛
  22. Well, it all sounds like good news, Gary.
