I'm happy you found the characters different in each snippet. Even if you found it strange, I actually made an effort to have them all be different people. The risk to me was writing them same guys in each scene. Though I will think about if this makes the story too disjointed and if I could have done something differently to avoid this. The light-hearted was because I felt it was a bit silly with the cliché dream scenarios. And of course I always knew Devon and Fabian had nothing to worry about as regards their relationship. Now that I read the comments, it's clear people took Devon's troubles more seriously than I thought. So thank you for pointing that out. And for commenting!
I always try to make a point of not reading anybody else's comments when I comment on a story. That way, I hope my comments won't be coloured, or influenced, by what others have written.
I did guess, after reading some of the other comments, that the different characters were almost certainly scenarios (or daydreams, as @JeffreyL suggested) that Devon was making up in his head.
I'm not sure @Puppilull, but maybe had you put them in italics, or indented dream sequences, it may have made them more obviously so.
(Or maybe I was just slow on the uptake... )
