  1. No, I think it was Gary and his Great Canadian Pruner Massacre... And hi right bakatya, young Albert!
  2. Okay... Maybe just carry a hacksaw, then. They're great for cutting through bone.
  3. Carry a wee bone saw as well as the pruners...
  4. Hi all Sorry to have been quiet for the last few weeks. Hectic (but great) holiday with family and friends in England. Now, for much of this month, much of my time is consumed with preparing and delivering a course for new volunteers for an LGBT Helpline, and evaluating the trainees' progress. But I'll try to at least pop my head into this room most days and see if I'm missing anything important or exciting...
  5. Damn! A real heart jerker of a chapter. Nate needs rescuing. I'm just not sure how that can be achieved in the small number of chapters that seem to be remaining.
  6. I think Nate's wall (blind spot?) is slowly crumbling. Another great chapter. And I see the next one has already been posted whilst I have been away...
  7. I think I also commented on that in an earlier chapter, and may have even suggested that it meant that Greg and Nate not end up together. But... Perhaps Richard had put blocks in both boys' heads? Blocks that are only now being possibly recognised.
  8. Another great, emotional roller coaster of a chapter. I'm looking forward to finding out just how Greg will finally put behind him (or at least be able to move on from) what happened to him half a lifetime ago.

    Not Even Close

    I agree wholeheartedly.
  10. Although I'm not certain we have seen the last of Kyle in this story, at least this separation is not something that Greg himself has been responsible for, unlike his separation from Nate. No sure what you mean by "more engaging content..." This story has kept me engaged right from the beginning.
  11. Uncle Farid told Greg that he was wrong to have not listened to Nate the night he decided to leave. Yet here he is, less than two weeks later, driving away and not giving Nate the opportunity to say what it was he wanted to say.
  12. Good morning, dugh. All good here, thanks. Yourself?
  13. Hi all. Sorry I've not been active on here for the past couple of days. Been travelling and visiting siblings in England. My mother would have been 97 on St Patrick's day.We all met at her graveside, and then went for a meal to celebrate her life. Here's a photograph of the seven of us in the restaurant after the meal. The youngest of us is 62 and the oldest 78. I'm the middle child of 7.
  14. All seems fine now. Probably a hiccup at my end.
  15. I am getting intermittent "Timed Out" errors when trying to load certain GA pages today. Currently the Stories page isn't loading for me. Earlier the Forums page wouldnt. I can load other sites without problem. Just wondering if it's happening to anyone else and, if so, what the problem might be....

  17. Albert, mo chara! Cónas atá tú? (Albert, my friend! How are you?)
  18. Good morning, Val My heart also goes out to them. I have just been reading some of the details. Apparently FaceBook, Twitter, YouTube, and other social media sites (and even mainstream media) are struggling trying to prevent copies of the livestream video that some deranged individual streamed of this despicable act from popping up on their sites. There really are some perverted people out there. How can anyone want to share a video of such a horrific act? This is one of the reasons why, as I mentioned on here a few days ago, I have tried to step away from social media sites. I find some of the stuff that is shared, and said, on those sites not to be good for my own well being.
  19. Hey, young Albert! Thanks, Gary! I fully intend to. I have plans for a series of vignettes about a dysfunctional gay character (based on someone I used to know). I have the first one about half written. I also have a text document containing 5 separate chapter "titles" - each title being a sort of memory prompt as to what that particular vignette may be about... Thanks, dugh!
  20. Sound advice! I think I read it myself somewhere recently....
  21. Welcome, Bruce! Always good to see a new face.
  22. I said "under it" - not "below it"
