  1. dughlas can have that one.
  2. You can still access them though... can't you? I assume you are talking about this "closed to replies" forum..... https://gayauthors.org/forums/topic/39932-cards-on-the-table-by-headstall/
  3. Well at least Google knows "Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire" Looks like you're going to be busy "Saturdays, Sundays & Labor Day Monday, August 3 through October 27, 2019"
  4. The "kilting season" ... I've never heard of that ... Seems like Google hasn't either. When I tried searching for it, Google asked me if I meant "killing season" ...
  5. I hope it's kilts you sell, and not guys....
  6. Albert! Don't encourage misbehaviour. Albert! Don't listen to him.
  7. Give me the shipping details, and I'll happily send you his kilt (once I've got it off him, that is) But I get to keep him!
  8. G'day, dugh!
  9. Better than all those muscle bound guys that Gary keeps offering us, anyway. Although... I think I might prefer the following, whom Gary offered to dughlas... (From his surroundings, he looks as though he may live a lot closer to me than he does to @dughlas as well.
  10. I've hidden/blocked quite a few people on FB to maintain my sanity. I use it mainly to chat with my friends on Messenger. Yea. I still use Messenger as well. Simply because some of my friends have no other way of contacting me, unless they send me an SMS text (or actually ring me). I like the fact that on the smartphone I can open messenger without going through FB first. But, as I am a moderator on a couple of LGBT Support FB pages which are linked to me through my personal FB account, I still sometimes have to log in to my personal account to get to those support pages when Messenger informs me that someone has sent a message to one or other of those pages. But I deal with those messages and immediately log back out of FB again.
  11. How the divil are ye, young Albert?
  12. I basically stopped using FaceBook about six months ago on mental health grounds. But maybe I should start logging into it again... Nah! Scratch that! GA is all the social media I need these days.
  13. G'day, clo! Windy, overcast and occasional rain here.
  14. Hmmm... Still a bit too muscly for me. Picky? Moi?? Never!!! (did my nose just get longer?)
  15. Gary! Top o' the morning to you!
  16. How ya, Page!
  17. Wildone reckoned he'd go far; even thought that he might become Tsar. When up stepped a real killjoy saying "We need a man, not a boy!" Seems poor Wildy was just wishing on a star! and goodnight.
  18. All of which may be very interesting... And meanwhile, today in Ireland, there's a crowning ceremony being held on that ancient seat of power, the The Hill of Tara, to inaugurate Marty to the position of High King of Ireland and the World. Thank you all for your kind attention.
  19. G'day, dugh! I often like that quiet hour just before dawn.

    Entropy

ENTROPY Walking asleep in the cool morning breeze. Being awakened by the soft sweet smell of the rain as it fell in my eyes. And listening to the sun as it rose in the skies... ...I jumped onto a three-wheeled bus which some unskilled painter had painted vivid green. Giving the conductor my fivepence-halfpenny, I asked him "Does this taxi go to Truth?" And, handing me my ticket, he replied "All trains go to Truth eventually." But I did not believe him. For the sign

    Chapter 10

*Marty arrives late at the party* I've just binge read this story, Geron. Whilst I'm not a car dude myself (as far as I'm concerned a car is just a means of getting from A to B - and, living as I do in a rural area, also a very necessary thing for me to have), I could still appreciate and enjoy the early chapters with all their talk of stock vehicles, horse power, Camaros, transmissions, gear boxes, etc, etc, etc... I loved the interplay between the characters - the inter school rivalry - and the way you managed to round out just about every character that we met. Jeff was just so loveable, Ed was a delight, and Annabelle looks like she could turn into a very good friend. I'm going to read the sequel next. I might even take time to read that one a little more slowly and comment on the individual chapters, rather than just leaving a single comment to the final chapter (like I've just done with this story). Just might take me a little time to start reading it, though, as I really must get some writing of my own done as well (It can difficult to do that when I am spending so much time reading as well ).

    The Nuclear Option

Fuck, Jason! For the first time since I started reading this, I've read a chapter that more or less leaves me speechless. I'm honestly not sure how Greg and Nate are ever going to get past this scene. My first thought is that Greg just isn't thinking this out clearly. At least you acknowledge in the chapter end-note that it's troubling that Greg has found himself practically quoting Richard as justification for his actions. I find it equally troubling, if not more so, that Greg, near the end of the chapter basically thinks that Richard did something good by possibly causing Nate to feel guilty enough to stand by him for the past fifteen years. Has he even told Nate yet how and why Richard brainwashed him, and why the blind spot was put there? I just cannot see Greg ever being happy without Nate somewhere in his life. The fact that you say in the end-note that you have promised Greg a happy ending gives me hope. I just hope the other important people in his life will have one as well. I can't really say that I agree with @FanLit's opinion of Rita. I don't think she's "the pits". I'm not sure if she's the one or not for Nate, but she does come across (to me, at least) as genuine.
  23. I was waiting for someone to make that reply 😛
