  1. That reminds me it's black and white day...
  2. This may be the one:- https://gayauthors.org/announcement/432-system-cleanup-causing-periodic-slowdowns/
  3. I can't find it at the moment, but I think @Myr made an "Announcement" a few days or so back about a problem with the site's host that may be causing the occasional slowdown...
  4. I've had a busy 24 hours or so... First there was the Microsoft Teams meeting yesterday afternoon (which actually went a lot better than the last time I tried using Teams). Then last night I was busy remotely supporting a new volunteer for a helpline that I am involved with. I have spent most of today adjudicating a recorded Concern Schools Debate. Concern is an Irish based charity and international humanitarian organisation that 'strives for a world free from poverty, fear and oppression.' I have been involved, mainly in fundraising, with them since 2012, but also got involved in the schools debates in 2018. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, the current round of debates are not actually being held in person in the schools, but the members of each of the two school teams are having to record videos of their speeches. They're currently in the knockout phase, and I received a link to the recordings of one of the debates yesterday afternoon, so have spent a good few hours today with headphones on, staring into a screen, and filling in marking and feedback sheets. I've now scanned in those completed sheets and emailed them off to Concern, so can have a few hours to myself. I was thinking of heading into the garden, but have decided that, as it's at least dry (if not all that warm or sunny), to take a walk within my 5 kilometre from home allowed limit, and see what's changed in the past week or so in my neighbourhood. I've an idea brewing in my head for a piece of Haiku, but need to see just what wild flowers are in bloom at the moment before deciding on the opening line for that piece of poetry...
  5. Greetings, young Albert!
  6. What I like about this is that, when I first looked at it a number of hours back it was just a black screen. Now I can see the waterfall, and the sun starting to illuminate the tops. Made me realise it's actually a live cam, and it was still night time the first time I looked.

I love intimacy, as well. Problem is that, for the past twelve months, due to Covid-19, I haven't actually had the chance for any.
  8. I was more intrigued by the photo of the two boys getting friendly on stage...
  9. Considering the story is almost 13 years old, I'm sure the two boys (now men) should have got the result of their STI tests by now, and hopefully been given the all clear. Those very last two words of the article, though... "... hysterical girls" (and that was referring to NZ - not Oz)
  10. Thought of the day (just not sure which day...):

  12. After midnight again... But before I go, I think I should perhaps apologise for suggesting last night that you are all driving me crazy. I know we're all actually normal people in here. But, then again, that probably all depends on how you actually define normal. Anyways, I'll just leave you with this explanation: I'm not sure if the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band ever actually made it across the Pond from England, but I hopefully their irreverent form of normalness will keep you entertained... (Come to think of it, I'm not even sure if The Temperance Seven, one of whose offerings I shared with you last night, ever made it across the Pond, either.)
  13. Quick! Kiss of life, someone! Anyone?? *clears throat* Huh-hum.. You alright there, young Page?
  14. But it's Cookie he takes to bed with him, not the cats.
  15. Zoom I can just about cope with. But Microsoft Teams?
  16. Greetings, young Albert!
  17. Got a Microsoft Teams meeting coming up in about 40 minutes... Hope it works this time!
  18. Well after midnight (actually closer to 1:00am), so I'll head to bed. I'll just leave you with the following, and dedicate it to a few of the crazy people here:
  19. pffffttt? Sounds like someone's got wind...
  20. I'm all out of Gold Stars, so...
  21. I suppose I'm going to have to award you a Gold Star, as well (if only for the Christmas suggestions).
