Oh, man. Lonnie is so wounded, and you write him so well.
What do we do when someone we love is just ... gone? How do we think about moving on without guilt? Lonnie knows Leo would want him to do exactly that, but honoring our love and moving on sometimes feels at odds. And no matter what we tell ourselves, the guilt can still suffocate us.
That's what I see in Lonnie. He's trying to hang on, and let go, and move on, all at once.
