    Chapter 1

Thanks for sharing these, tim. I liked the first one, but the second ... the second one I love. It sent chills chasing over my skin. The repeating "chorus" ties it together in a unique way. Additionally, comparing depression to a too-faithful hound is brilliant. Thanks again. I'm glad you get some respite here and there from the dog. 💚
  2. You've had a few rounds with mother nature. Cut yourself a bit of slack and chill if you're able.
  3. You had me at "...naughty weiner..."
  4. Super glad you're okay, kbois. Thanks for taking time to update us. I live in the land of giant trees, and when a storm blows in, one or more can come down and take out power lines. We lose power yearly, and I grew tired of losing food when we did. To that end, I bought one of these guys. https://www.bluettipower.com/products/bluetti-ac500-b300s-home-battery-backup Well, kinda. Mine is a model they don't sell anymore, and this one is an evolved little brother version of it. Mine's larger, heavier, more expensive, and has the same capacity as the one I linked above. Better, the one above is modular, and you can add capacity as you like. With Florida's sunshine, a few solar panels would also keep it in power. Even without the panels, you can plug it in, and when the power dies, it'll be a big ass battery to run appliances. I know it'd be an investment, but I like never losing food, being able to run lights, and having charged phones. All are handy things. Regardless, keep on keeping on.
  5. I know it's a pain, but I put "love" because you're okay and will be able to recover. Thanks for updating us, kbois.
  6. Hello, DiC. Happy Hump Day. I'm going to a physical trainer once a week. Yesterday was my "Danny" day. The name of my trainer. Danny is evil, and he should be punished for the crimes he has committed against my poor arms and shoulders. I look forward to next week.
  7. When camping/picnicking we leave a sacrifice for the yellow jackets and other wasps. Put a bit of meat and a capful of soda or juicy fruit about a dozen feet away from the gathering, and they will happily take the offering and leave us alone. Yeah, you gotta wave them off till they find the offering, but once they do you're set. They won't bother you again.
  8. Yes. Anybody disappointed that kbois can't control the mosquitoes is likely disappointed a lot.
  9. Mmmm. Yes. Get right on that mosquito problem, kbois. Didn't you know the customer was coming? So disappointing. 🙄
  10. I'm actively working on that problem myself.
  11. If you can strip to 80s-2000s, then you're hired.
  12. If these pledges don't stop, I'll start a GoFundMe, so you'd better watch it. 😛
  13. Right here behind the Redwood curtain, of course. As soon as I can land a rich funder.
  14. The kids have so many options ... I go to bars or events and don't recognize any music. When I look around, the crowd is 20+ years younger than I am. Thus, my idea is born. A bar/venue with a basic premise. All music is from 1980-2009. The cover is $5 for anyone under forty years old, while forty and up get in free. And the name? Well. The name of the place is "Silver Foxes". There. That's my business idea.
  15. Shhh! They'll hear you! 🫢
  16. This one is a banger. It hit number five on the country music charts, and it's still climbing. Even if country isn't your thing, give it a shot.

    Chapter 7

Dude is scary. Guys like Black have no empathy; that’d have to be true for him to function. He doesn’t hate the people bought and sold, he just feels nothing. Someone that numb to the fear and suffering of others is unaffected by causing it. Yeah. Scary. Nice chapter, tim.
  18. It felt pretty good. However, my arms are stuck at about 160 degrees at the elbow vs 180. I'm thinking I'll be sore tomorrow. Yay!
  19. Feeling pretty good about myself. For the last six weeks, I've weight trained at least four times a week. This go was harder, and I found myself about to break my streak if I didn't force it to happen today. I just got back from the garage after hammering back and biceps for fifty minutes. I'm back on track now, and the streak remains unbroken. Let week seven commence! 🙂 Have a great Sunday, all.
  20. I feel the same way, but I think it depends heavily on what is being earned.

    Chapter 1

you already know I love these. The final one, in particular, grabs me. It's longing but hopeful, and there's something beautifuly human in that.
  22. Any way you slice it, these are all great!
  23. This is an important thing. A lesson learned by those on the path of self-respect, and of recognition of self-worth. Im glad you’re learning to be nice to my friend. 🙂
