You can turn just about any savory thing into breakfast if you fry an egg and put it on top. Leftover chili + Egg. Now it's breakfast.

DUDE. Melatonin helped me when I had trouble sleeping. But it isn't going to help everybody, and it's good only for a short while to cover a deficiency in the hormone. Can't hurt to try it!

Corbin had what is called a "sucking chest wound." I was taught this exact technique for resolving them since I was a Hospital Corpsman for the US Navy back, a lifetime ago. Write what you know, eh?

🙂 Zampa saved her mommy, Paul! Good girl! Paul's efforts kept Corbin alive long enough to get him to the hospital. Timothy is still breathing and even has a lovely visitor. Everyone except Harris is alive, stable, and recovering. Not a bad ending for a chapter, eh? Thanks for reading and commenting, Thorn!

What's funny is that this is one of my longer chapters. 🙂 But I'm happy it felt short to you. Thanks so much for the great comments on it. Stuff like this and the other comments are why I and many authors keep writing.

I think that's true. We all have our baggage and our pain. Love is funny too. When we love, we don't want to saddle others with our own flaws and hurts. Yet, loving someone means you accept theirs. -
One more chapter to go, and we'll find out a few things. Hell, just about everything. 🙂 I'm gonna post the final one on Monday I think. No cliffhanger, so I don't feel obligated to resolve it faster.
