tim's Bits and Pieces - 36. brokN
Though I cannot see your face
together we can walk by the silent stream
On opposite banks; our hands reach over
and though we're awake, this is only a dream
Life gives and it takes with no thought of us
Doors open and shut, caring not of our plight
Not happy until we cry on our knees
Yet even through the darkest day; streams light
When before us are dangled dribbles of hope
We can only grab on; cling with both hands
Perhaps now, that always locked door will open
And finally, you'll find the fairest of lands
That is the dream I dream for you
It's a place of only embracing peace
Where you are loved and are feeling whole
And where the war inside you will finally cease.
