    Chapter 11

Heyyyy ... my comment didn't drop! Damn it. I was super witty and everything. Oh well. Thank you for commenting. These favors work on a tit for tat basis. If Luca is powerful, then his giving access to both himself and his place of business is quite a boon. Corbin has no idea if that's the case, but he can see that Luca commands at least a force of a dozen people. And it's unlikely for a capo to reveal all of his cards ... Geese! Good idea. We used to have some on our farm. Mean, noisy, but very good for the garden.
  2. Hello, DiC! It's Thursday. My body is nice and sore from gym time, but at least my major muscle groups are not cramping today. I've got writing planned for my weekend, and I'm living for Friday afternoon. One more cup of coffee, and I'll be ready to finish out this day. 🍮 I hope you are all doing well.

    Chapter 10

Harris is pretty damn smart. But, Stefano seems to be as well. So we'll see!

    Chapter 11

Thursday morning arrived, and Corbin woke to his alarm groggy and tired. He had trouble sleeping and grumbled as he stood. 'Paul has ruined me. After a grand total of two nights, I miss his furry body in bed against me.' Now that he was a partner at the shop he would work five days a week again, which was the reason he was up at five a.m. He staggered through the house and started a pot of water on the stove. He planned to wait until he got to the coffee shop to get his dose of caffeine, but

    Chapter 3

Corbin does assume so. And Paul's actions DO shift a bit. So maybe our tall, burly lumberjack is a softie after all. Corbin's cock is getting a workout, even if it's just him doing the work. Bruce certainly seemed willing though, so we'll have to see where things end up there. 🙂 Karen is a fun character. She was entertaining to write, and for me to get into her head. Ooooo... so many theories about Mr. Corbin! Good. 🙂

    Chapter 2

Maybe Corbin will get a chance to repay him. And in Idaho, a chainsaw is definitely a good thing to have. I've dealt with the green wood and fire thing quite a bit. Most of the time because I didn't have a choice, you burn what ya got. Corbin is definitely used to being independent. I wonder if anybody will worm his way into his heart? I too remember that age. And Corbin is just rocking with those thoughts, desires, and emotions all at once. More to come on that front. 🙂 Chapter three is there and ready for you. BUT ... are you ready for CHAPTER THREE?!!?! By the way, thanks for the feedback!
  7. Thank you, tim. I appreciate that.
  8. Thanks, AC. I'll check this section. I've not allowed myself to get past Haiku. I've already fought with Tanka, and I haven't written anything worth reading there. And out of all of the Haiku I wrote, ONE of nine were okay. Maybe I'm just a rhymer, Born to do things few, Maybe it's the thing that works, All else goes askew. 😋

This is really sweet. 🙂 We often don't know what it is that we've lost until we've found it again. We become numb to absence after a while. Then we're reminded when we don't have to pave over that hole where someone used to be.
  10. My right glute is currently trying to cramp itself into the volume of a softball. Just thought I'd share (while I'm laying on the floor of my office with my knee pulled up to my chest in an attempt to stretch the bitch out). That's how my day is going! lol

    Chapter 10

Thanks! Yep, Corbin is now tied financially to the town of Hailey, even more than he was before. As well, Stefano is definitely slippery. Low-level operator? He sure doesn't seem that way, does he?

    Chapter 10

Well damn. 😞 I thought I had beaten the system! All righty then. No more posting using that system. Edit: I've got one more waiting to post using that system. So, after chapter 11 it'll all be manual posting.

    Chapter 10

Yeah, Thorn was telling me the same thing. When I save the chapters, and set them up to drop at a different time, vs "Publish Immediately" it doesn't push through the notifications. It should have sent one just now though, because I updated the chapter as a test. Thorn got one, so I'm hoping everyone did. Me? Sarcastic? 😏

    Chapter 10

Thanks, Thorn! That Stefano is definitely slippery. And he seems to have support of some kind. Hrmmm. Next chapter is teed up, ready to go. I’ll submit it in a few days. 😊
  15. Thanks, Mac. I appreciate the nice comment. It was a crazy time in my life.
  16. I wrote this one a few months after coming to terms with my sexuality, and after I first had sex with a guy. It'd be years before I shook the whole "it's a sin" thing. The Perfect Sin His head, he turns, His eyes, they flash, A sparkling spear of blue; His voice, he laughs, the very note, A trembling vibrant hue. An angel stands in wingless pride, Before me, drawing near; A smile upon his face shines bright, The dark it disappears. His smooth lithe form, his sweet faint scent, His breath upon my skin; I smile at him as he lay down, We join in perfect sin.
  17. I like this. It's emotive and sparks the imagination. Nice job. 🙂

    Chapter 9

Who knows? Perhaps you're right. The Family is there, in Hailey. So Corbin will have to deal with them in some way. Might as well be friendly, right? Paul is a sweetheart. His powers of sweetness will protect him from that Stefano! That's how that works, right? Thanks for the comments, Thorn. 🙂
  19. You may already know, but be careful when taking combo drugs plus additional ones. Check doses (or get someone to who isn't sick). You can exceed max dose of acetaminophen, pseudoephedrine, or ibuprofen easily if they're included in a few different things that you're taking. Sorry if this doesn't need saying. I hope you get back to good soon.
  20. Ughhh ... didn't your boy get you drugs? DayQuil is my hero in times like that.

    Chapter 9

Ah, I'm happy you like it. 🙂 Whoever the Family is, they have money and seem to be working to a plan. If that plan includes anything other than serving excellent Italian food remains to be seen. Paul is a pretty brave fellow. He has been in some gnarly spots before, and it takes a lot to shake him. Time will tell if he has to use that bravery or not.
  22. I hope you feel better soon. 💊

    Chapter 9

When you're dealing with these guys, you had better be sure of any step taken. Maybe you're right. Maybe letting Harris and the FBI know about their presence would be a good idea, if for nothing else to keep an eye on them. Or, it might call some unwanted attention down on Corbin, and anyone associated with him. After what happened to Liam, he's a bit gunshy of taking risks now.
