Mia moved the last of the boxes into the storeroom of the shop. When she’d agreed to help out at The Treasure Chest she hadn’t realised how much shifting and moving would be involved. The fact that Aunt Cynthia had been doing it for years astounded Mia. There was a constant stream of incoming antiques and knick-knacks to be put somewhere in the shop. “Thank you, dear,” the old woman said from behind Mia. “I’ve got one last task for you, but only if you want to. I can do it myself, if you like.”

Thank you! Yes, I'm sorry but it's a one off. The intention was not to write yet another story full of stereotypes and cliches, but to have a little fun sending up those cliches.

So there is! And I went into the edit history and found it's been there since at least 2005. Interesting However, my point is still valid. There's no mention of online fiction in the article itself and I would suggest that that is a major part of gay fiction at the moment.

I've just had a look at the current Gay Literature article on Wikipedia. I think a section on online fiction would be worthwhile, since I think that's an entire category of gay fiction that's not being mentioned.

Thanks, Mark The idea was to poke fun at online cliches by wondering what would happen if they were not only real, but if someone had read enough stories to have some idea of what was going to happen. I've never heard of a stereotype about the names Kyle or Tyler, but in my reading it's an extremely rare online gay story where a character named Kyle or Tyler hasn't turned out to be gay. I don't know what it is about the names, but online authors seem to like them

Sorry, but I don't think I can do another chapter. If I tried, I think it'd end up as being all the cliches instead of poking fun at them.

I was thinking about this overnight and I wonder if a page will pass Wikipedia's admins. As I understand it, a page needs references for its content, and we'd need to identify what references are applicable for the site. They tend to frown on a site being its own reference....

I'll admit that I had to read it twice, but what he said was the Wikipedia is the sixth most trafficed site on the Internet, not GA. It's not a bad idea, but I'm not sure how to go about adding it or keeping it up to date.

Waiting until I was 40 before finally accepting I was gay. However, that's a mixed regret because if I had accepted myself earlier, I might not have the family I've got, with a loving wife and two wonderful boys. But I'll always regret not knowing if I could've had a boyfriend

The Tree is a local fixture in the rural town of Morton. When it starts to die, the whole town rallies around to try to save it.

The Tree was old. It had watched over many generations of local inhabitants. Settlers moving west from Sydney, recognising that the area was suitable for farming, had formed the small township of Mourton around The Tree. Even then, the residents recognised something special in The Tree and preserved the land around it as a park.
