  1. It sounds like you had the same thoughts as I did....
  2. "All of a sudden". I had never heard of the other option before, and it sounds very unnatural to me.
  3. Gee... I didn't realise that there were that many people who couldn't read The question was how to cut-and-paste, not the best type of mouse Highlight the text or object to you want to copy. You can do this with a drag of the mouse (just like you would on a desktop PC), or you can use the touchpad while holding down the left button (just like you would if you were using a mouse), or you can even use the shift or ctrl keys combined with the arrow keys -- there are lots of ways. Feel free to experiment. There are short cuts like CTRL-A to select everything that may be useful at times (inside a window or object it often selects eveything inside that object). Once you have done so, you can either right click and select "copy" or you can use CTRL-C on the keyboard (that's hold the Ctrl key down and push the C key). That copies what you've selected to the clipboard. Right click and select "paste" or CTRL-V to paste where you want it to go. Is that clear enough?
  4. Welcome back I hope your living situation has improved.
  5. Thanks, James
  6. Before he makes a comment, that should be "the Goat made at least 64 posts during a single 24 hour period."
  7. My impression is that it is a rolling 24 hours. I've seen my post count going DOWN while I've been logged in, which is why I think it recalculates it each time you ask for the day's top 20 posters.
  8. The question was not about having unprotected sex. It was just about having sex. I wouldn't have sex with someone who was HIV+ unless I was deeply in love with them. Even so, safe sex would still be a requirement. However, as Vic has pointed out, it would be difficult to allow myself to fall that deeply in love with them -- which is a separate topic completely. Honestly, I think the only way that would work is if I had gotten to know someone, found myself falling for them and THEN started dating them -- only to learn they were positive. If they didn't tell me early on in the dating process, I would feel... not betrayed, but like that they had difficulty being honest with me.
  9. That you're 16 hours behind me?
  10. I did not have a total of 64 posts that day! and I can prove it, so Getting back to the original statement and your response, the fact that your statement about not having a total of 64 posts that day is irrelevant to the question you were responding to. The question was what does one call a poster who posts 64 posts in a single day? All you have done is state you didn't post EXACTLY 64 posts that day. That doesn't mean you didn't post 64 posts that day -- only that you posted more or less than 64 posts. Since we have proof of at least 64 posts, it has to be more. So, what does one call a poster who posts in excess of 64 posts in a single day?
  11. It wouldn't be something that I would do lightly, but I believe yes, I could have sex with someone who was HIV positive. It is unlikely to happen, though, because it would have to be someone I was deeply in love with.
  12. While it has been established that this rule is not in effect, I was interested in something.... Over in Shadowgod's forum, you keep insisting that his cliffhangers aren't bad. Isn't that contradicted by your statement above where you explicitly list cliffhangers in the category of "bad things"?
  13. He never said you had a total of 64 posts on that day. He just said you made 64 posts on that day. There is an important difference between the two statements. You really should learn to read....
  14. How is the democratic process cruel to animals? We just held a simple vote.... And no, I don't treat other goats this way. I treat everyone as an individual.
  15. Happy 20th Birthday! My condolences on your loss of teenagerhood. I hope you have a great day and a fantastic year ahead.
  16. Happy Birthday! I hope you have a great day, and best wishes for the future.
  17. I thought it was okay, but I won't be taking my boys to see it. It's aimed at an older audience than they are at the moment. They'd be bored by the opening and a lot of the finer detail would just go over their heads.
  18. Congratulations and Hugs! Congratulations on your 1st anniversary -- a year that's been very memorable. And Hugs because you've become a good friend to a lot of people here (myself included). Good luck with everything in the future!
  19. They've gone down hill a lot in the last couple of years, but while that would be what their ads would say, the actual show would indicate how many did things right and how many did things wrong.
  20. Ewww... My only question, trying to be balanced, is how many rooms did they record before they got those tapes. Some (not all) current affairs reports like this in Australia will tell you how many places did it right. This one implies that they only recorded at three hotels, but did they? If they recorded at twenty (say) and got three bad ones, that's a bit more palatable. Regardless, it's still not good.
  21. A lurker on steroids?
  22. Especially our beloved goat author You are just plain mean and nasty. I was already wondering if something was going to happen when they went cliff climbing (assuming they actually get there), and those last two titles have very negative connotations.... I just hope they don't mean what I suspect they mean.
  23. You weren't around, so the members felt comfortable giving an honest opinion instead of being pressured to lie That's my theory....
  24. And the answer is.... No.
  25. I don't have a problem with an author who has an agenda. If I agree with the agenda, then they can be more long winded than if I disagree, but either way it is possible to go to long and that's when I turn off. If I disagree with the agenda, then a lot depends on how the author has approached it. If they are heavy handed, I turn off because they're not giving me the chance to disagree. They are, in effect, trying to tell me what to think. If that's the case, I stop reading.
