Thank you for remembering the wedding reception! I totally forgot. Maybe if we’re lucky, they’ll have a double wedding overlooking the river. You couldn’t ask for a more picturesque location, nor more deserving grooms.

The only thing that could make me happier is Chase and Hank in the same situation. Or, you know, no slow pan away to the fireplace — er, steamed up mirror? Now don’t lie, Gary. This wasn’t Brent and Dawson’s complete story. There’s more than enough to build a whole book around, and you know we’d line up to read it. I’ll fight Wes for first place (and I fight dirty). Dawson’s unerring positivity for others ended up exactly where it needed to be. Together he and Brent can most certainly accomplish anything, bolstered both by their love for one another but also by the drive to see the other succeed. They want the same things for themselves and from each other, and that’s incredibly powerful. That poor, ragged wolf will soon be howling with pride. Speaking of pride or the lack thereof, Perry turned out to be the weasel I expected him to be. What a manipulative sack of shit. The cab fare was low, a power play to exert dominance and control over Brent. It set the stage for his attempt to bully him into rolling over and exposing his belly. He underestimated Brent’s resolve with Dawson there offering silent reassurance and how delightful it was watching them give him the boot. When Perry comes back — and, like any snake oil salesman, he won’t be able to resist coming back — I can’t wait to see the look on his face when Dawson and Brent, hand in hand, show him just how unneeded and unwanted he truly is. I relish the idea of that confrontation because I imagine he’ll show up with a sob story, banking on sympathy because last time his other options failed spectacularly. Please make time to at least post updates on their situation — vignettes if you will — if you won’t craft the complete saga. Inquiring minds want to know how things turn out for the boys and what everyone thinks of the improvements they’ll make to the place. And whether Elsa even cared about getting new windows — after all, the cold never bothered her anyway. Now back to Hank and Chase! Maybe earlier since we’re all sequestered? Eh? Eh?

A splendid chapter from start to finish. I bet it was powerful for Sandra, seeing the boys sharing that tender moment in the kitchen. That momentary crack in the ice when she’d been caught spoke volumes. One day she’ll gift them with a full-on smile. In a way she is, I suppose, by continuing to test Troy but also by giving her approval. Gavin is great! What an odd, funny guy. I can see why Grant adores him. To be honest, Gavin has me at “Eep!” In high school we had a waitress at our regular restaurant who made that sound when surprised. Couldn’t tell you her real name because we affectionately called her Meep and that’s what stuck. Gavin made me think of her and for that I like him even more. He better keep his mitts off Troy though.

Something tells me Dan wouldn’t want to hear Jett grunting and April mewling through the walls, nor the headboard banging during one of their many heated ruts. Zane though . . .

Speculations, speculations. Hmm. Jett’s dad catches April in the shower and, like with his son, it’s love at first ass. Now April is caught at the center of a massive storm — trying to fend off Mr. Huntsman’s progressively more aggressive advances while keeping Jett from finding out about them and his identity as Theo. He reveals his secret to the elder Huntsman, an act of self-preservation he soon comes to regret once he’s blackmailed into service. Yes, that kind and no, not military. Just kidding! There will be growing pains, I’m sure. They may decide to wait for Jett’s dad to leave again, in which case they’d need to pretend Carina and Jett are still together with April being the babysitter. Somehow I don’t see that happening though: Jett’s not one to hide and April means too much to him to avoid having that conversation. In theory, April could pretend to be Theo again, having bumped into Jett after all this time and dropped in to catch up, but as convoluted and crazy-fun/fucked up as that could be, I stand by Jett staying true to his feelings. Of course, if April comes clean about being Theo, so Jett can confess how much Theo meant to him, that eliminates two birds with one stone. Him being there and them being in love makes perfect sense then and they can omit anything to do with the Zees. Jett’s dad may not like it at first but, hey, it beats never getting to know his grandson or see Jett again if they move out. (April’s apartment should still be his until the first of the month or whenever rent is due.) The situation with Jay and Carina isn’t problematic, though I’d like her to stick around so April and Jett can be a part of the baby’s life. Part of me wants her to go back to jail or take off alone in the night, leaving them no choice but to raise Jay. Its getting harder and harder not to cheat. And, speaking of harder, keep those love scenes coming! Rawr.

Ah, young love — er, infatuation. It seems like, if Jeff cares for Simon as more than just a friend, he isn’t ready to make his feelings public. Or he’s the kind of guy who shares tender moments with all his friends. Either way, something tells me Simon will get his answer soon. I can imagine things coming to a head at Hades, if they don’t in the midst of the makeover. Simon’s ex-boyfriend being there and running into him, and Jeff (and Vee) coming to the rescue. I’d even laugh if Freddie was the one to point him out. Ah, the soap opera that is my imagination and the depth of your characters that gives it life. I’m glad Nikki continues to be supportive. She doesn’t dumb things down, but she still shows her maternal instincts are strong where Simon is concerned. More so than Simon’s mom at this point, though with the pressure she’s under and the self-imposed stress of litigation, I can’t blame her. Provided they win full custody, Simon’s patience may even earn him an apology for the way his mom has behaved and for what he overheard the other night. An uneventful but still impactful chapter, and I mean that only in a positive sense. I’m not discounting Freddie and Vee’s presentation either; they did very well. Lunch is downtime and it’s always nice to enjoy it, even when a lot of it’s spent in your head. Especially when we can hear the orchestra building to crescendo.

Good luck finding a big enough cross. If you’re looking to write another side story, Jeremy from Cards has been alone, miserable, and absolutely adorable for how long now? Besides, we all know your you’re working on Dawson’s adventure — Yukon Do It.

With her a simple conversation is a dance and she’s leading, and following her as she places her steps would be like watching Picasso paint or listening to Mozart compose. Or, more appropriately, a snow leopard on the prowl. She’d be endlessly fun to verbally spar with, provided you aren’t a threat. I’d fight for the chance or, better yet, just sit and watch her work. I learned to appreciate calculating minds like hers from my grandma, who was as acid tongued and passive-aggressive as they come. Sandra seems to be that and more.

Rhett and Grant being rewarded for excelling as a team is wonderful. If only more businesses offered that kind of incentive, even though in this case it was sort of under the table. One of the benefits of working for a smaller clinic, that. I remember when the clinic I worked in was able to be more casual and it’s such a harsh contrast to the nightmare of red tape and rules it became after the organization grew. What is essentially tuition reimbursement is more praise heaped upon Rhett. I’m so happy for him. Not only does he not have to pay for that final year of school, he can continue working alongside Grant, and he has a contracted position doing what he loves for at least the next six years. So many worries rolled up into one ball and tossed in the can. I hope he can accept just how much he means to them — Grant, Dr. Petrucci, his brother, his patients. Well, you had me going when Troy woke up from a certain kind of dream, but I can’t complain. The intimacy between him and Grant trumps any other pairing I might dream of. Their sex is scorching. That fire will definitely shine through as love when they’re in California. Speaking is which, Sandra is a hoot. Try as she might to find ways in which he won’t measure up (for Grant’s protection, of course), she can’t help but approve of Troy. She might even like him. He’s certainly not cut from the same cloth as the people she’s used to mixing with. In a way, asking him to defend — no, more like justify — himself was really just a way to give him a chance to display his character. She knows business; she wanted to know that Troy wasn’t selling himself short or using a flawed model. She’s one smart cookie, complex and layered. Troy proved his worth and then some. He gets Sandra and she gets him, especially now. Even though he has his work cut out for him where the ice queen is concerned, he’s made definite headway in seeing past that cold exterior, maybe even thawing it a little. Cant wait read next chapter. I can already tell it’s going to be a fun one.

I believe you, Wes. What we all know is who’s behind this little smear campaign. His name rhymes with “seven” and you can see him bending over from space.

You should be proud of that! It’s easy to mask at least some symptoms with drugs and alcohol, but it’s a slippery slope and doesn’t actually help. I can tell you that from experience. Learning your triggers and developing coping strategies is the way to go, with or without professional help. Even with proper medication, it’s a lot of trial and error. What works for Rhett might not work for you and even if it doesn’t, that you tried is accomplishment enough.
