Why would you reveal that... 🤨 It must be some sort of trick. I have a bad feeling about this... Maybe your stories and comment sections should have an additional disclaimer. Something about reading might cause mild to advanced paranoia or something.

Ouch. You just had to do that, right? Have all of us try and deal with the question of what exactly Elijah smelled and saw. I do not know if any of you guys are like me in that regard, but I have a rather ... lively imagination. When it comes to descriptions of 'sexy times' (loved that!) involving cute guys with interesting accents, that is actually a good thing. With the chapter ending like it did, unfortunately, it means I feel a bit like Elijah just about having to 🤮... Having said that, I cannot wait for the next chapter!

"The Benefactors"... Hm... Sounds like a bunch of conniving manipulative secret society types. Unlikely they did not anticipate Emperor Kintu behaving this way when it was probably them that gave him the intel in the first place. They sound helpful in this chapter, but I would not trust them as far as I can throw Axel in his bear form... But great chapter! Eager to know what will happen next...

So, what all goes into a Dancin' Bear? 😛 Loved the chapter. I stumbled a bit on reading about Yakob not fearing anything. That seems way beyond... human. It implies he has no doubts about his students, but then again, Stefan was his student, too? Does he not have any doubt others might abuse his teachings like Stefan seems to have done? Something seemed off about all that. Also: Interesting cliffhanger! Anxious to learn what is going on.

Made me think of all the 'I have a bad feeling about this' Star Wars moments... 😃

I really enjoyed this chapter. And it was the right thing to do when Tyler let Neall mom talk. Talking about groups of people is never going to be anything other than abstract and impersonal. Does not matter if it is based on sex, gender, color of your skin, age or whatnot. Once you meet someone in person, get to know them, most if not all of those criteria stop to have any meaning at all. It is easy to imagine what a huge difference it makes psychologically when Tyler and Elijah switch from being on a mission to rescue 'one of the hybrid pups' they really know nothing about to rescuing a specific individual. Having his mom share endearing, embarrassing or just funny stories about him may not be the same as meeting Neall face to face, but Tyler and Elijah will likely never again be able to think of Neall as anything but the individual so loved by his family.

Didn't stop Douglas Adams for instance. So @kbois would not be the first author to pull something like that. 😉

Indeed. And Roger Kenneman is probably surrounded by a bunch of rather unpleasant people. And how will Tyler and Elijah approach this? I guess Elijah will not have a problem doing reconnaissance. But how to extract Neall? Try to infiltrate as budding porn stars? But given what the pup probably went through, it will likely be hard to gain trust? Also, something just occurred to me: What if one of the missing pups turns out to be Tyler's or Elijah's fated mate? Then again, maybe the key to helping those poor hybrids is exactly that: the mating bond. After all that was what healed Reilly, right? A harrowing thought? Or a glimmer of hope?

I really enjoyed reading this story and following Cyn's development. A timid and rather skittish creature in the beginning, he slowly and bit by bit learns to trust others and himself. Well done!

Bracing myself for incoming of sudden turn of events out of left field and being left wondering how the improbably probable hazardous consequences will be dealt with in a follow-up chapter... Bring it on!

I doubt it. Judging from your ideas on plots and characters in other stories' comment sections, I'd say I have not (by any stretch) figured out how your mind works, so I am bracing myself for the unexpected. The way I see it, this was all build up towards the showdown with the number one evil guy. From that point of view, it was more training to be ready, getting better at managing his magic reserves, etc. but it did nothing to alleviate the suspense. We still do not know if Vinny will be strong enough, when the showdown is going to happen, what ace ole Stefan still has up his sleave? What's up with the godly visitations and why is Vinny 'collecting' markers, what is it that Stefan fears Vinny might turn out to be (and Yakob seems to have pondered that as well)?. I am sure there are details in this chapter that will fall into place later, but as far as the structure of the narrative goes, this was not an instance of the plot thickening. It was adding details without advancing the main plot, really.

Personally, I think this is your strength (that and you have good editors). I like that you pay attention to details as it creates a more coherent narrative. It would be hard to be drawn into a story where odd inconsistencies keep putting you off. Your stories are - I do not know if that is the right expression, but I hope you will get what I want to say - well-rounded.
