Embers is the 4thtnovel in the Running with the Pack series. Set in Australia it explores the disastrous wildfires that have periodically raged across the eastern seabord and adjacent hinterland. Brandon is our protagonist and besides fighting the fires as part of a lycan crew,earns to love his wolf in the process. A good binge read.

What a ride that was. I loved reading Trevor's story and can't wait to see how things work out for him, Skyler and Randy, not to mention Jayson.

A great chapter with the 3 guys just having fun. This is what they needed. Trevor is setting the scene so that Randy and Skyler can later imprint. I'm stil hopeful that Trevor meets his true mate, who is also hopefully, big, muscle and hairy.

This was a great chapter and soooo affirming for Seth. These guys are just lovely. I hope Randy goes for being turned.

What a heartwarming chapter. I wonder what Aiden and Skyler talked about? 😉 Randy is fitting right in. Hopefully Thad is on the mend and the McKinney rogues are being reeled in.

Trevor has been jnder immense stress and I think he is correct to question Aiden on the level of their physical presence with Pit River Pack. This Alpha away from home needs to end. Trevor wanting to turn Randy comes as no surprise. They have become very close and Randy is isolated from his friends. Pack life will be so good for him.

Trevor has excelled himself in this emergency situation. Hats off to him. The way he continues to keep Randy in the loop speaks volumes.

A major cliffhanger. Let's see how things go with Thad. Also how ill Seth get on? Perhaps Ethan can assist them both. He is Pit River Pack alpha after all.

That came like a bolt out of the blue. It deals with Cassidy though, and leaves the way open for Trevor to explore Ramdy amd Skyler. Poor Seth. I hope that he finds a way through this message. I wonder if Ethan or Brandon could guide. 🤔

I'm enjoying Trevor's experiments. I think Randy is very sweet and Trevor's wolf seems happy with the hot tub session. Randy is human though...

Now why would Miller, aka Guillotine, be setting a fire that would lead to his death? How involved was he with drug dealers, or the mysterious organisation with the card?

This was a great experience for both Todd and Frost. I hope they will see more of each other and perhaps allow things to progress naturally.

Trevor is doing really well and seems to snif out the money. I'm still eager to see if he will meet his true mate in this story.

Trevor and Cassidy's relationship is a casual but charming one. Whether it can be more than this will be up to Trevor and his wolf, who doesn't seem to be very interested in any of the women he has me so far, including Shannon. I suspect we will soon be immersed in the hint for the McKinney loot, alongside Trevor and his wolf exploring his sexuality a little more. I do hope that Trevor meets his true mate along the way.

Like others, I'm wondering about Shannon's comment regarding "reflections" - basically smoke and mirrors. Is she a McKinney spy? Trevor is going to learn so much on this project, but will also make a major contribution. As for his sexuality, let's see how that unfolds.

Danny has begun to grow in confidence as he has seen the impact he has had on Cassandra and Ryder. Danny is a healer and has understood his role - to care for his mate's pack, even if there is initial resistance to his presence. I hope that Jack, Meryl and the wolves locate Vince and Theodore. I really love this story. 😀

The dance scene was hot. I'm enjoying Brandon a lot more now than in Embers. Not sure what I think of Shannon. I want Trevor to find a man, but also understand that he needs to be true to who he is, so we will have to wait and see.
