My own view on this is that both Julien and Oliver needed that time away to reflect. Julien is certainly being quite harsh in his judgement, but perhaps this is what has Oliver needed to grasp the reality of how he preps and manages relationships. Ultimately, this harshness may serve Oliver well. -

This was a lovely, refreshing chapter with the whole gang reuniting. Randy and Kent continue as normal although they both know how things changed. Looking forward to what comes next.

Well that was a fun day at the lake and the most fun was had by Jo. Mannly has a few things to learn, although I don’t really see him being submissive to Jake the way Kidd is to Bass. -

Julien has understood that Oliver is both the kindness and the arranging. He is both and this has been known from the start. Yes, Oliver ought not to have written this brief without speaking with Julien first. He intruded into a grief that had been shared with him. However, when you love someone you take the good and the bad, and Julien now needs to think carefully and make a decision. I hope he does not fall on his sword over this. -
Treading Water is a beautifully story of romance, perseverance and true love. The protagonists both go through their own version of hell to find one another and when they do there is no letting go. This story this story is highly recommended.

Begin Again is a story of two very normal men going about their very normal lives. Cian and Evan find in each other the freedom to be themselves, without the need to cover up, although it takes them time to get to this point. The journey is an insightful exploration of two men getting to know and trust each other. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed this story and the “normalness” of the characters and their lives. I’m really pleased that they have got to this point together. I’m also glad they are not teenagers.

I’m glad that these two have made their terms explicit. They do not need any further complications or misunderstandings. I think that they have made reasonable decisions, that will allow romance to flourish. Nothing can kill a relationship as quickly as unstated expectations that are not, and cannot be met.

By asking Evan to come with him to the business and chat alongside Fintan, Cian has made his growing relationship with Evan public at work. This is a big move. A brilliant chapter!
