  1. I did a tiny update a long, long while back, but nothing compared to the upcoming edit. Carlos and I spent over a year with this (mostly my fault, I'm a procrastinator). What must be done, what must be done.
  2. Lmao! Sadly, Cow-man is set in stone. I was inspired by an art piece, and with the gracious permission of the artist, I'm bringing his character to life. But trust me, he's 100% man... aside from his horns and swishing tail.
  3. Lol. You might have to wait for a Cernunnos sequel and the next installment of In the Shadows. After I get the secret author dohickey done, it's Cow-man and Pokémon. Then I'll get on more Shifters and Shadows.
  4. @Carlos Hazday and I have been working on this edit for a while now. Aside from this, I have my anthology story done for later this year, and currently working on this year's Secret Author event piece. I'm writing, but for stories that will be published later. Shadows and Cernunnos have been officially crossed over into the same storyverse "Shifters and Shadows," as of the last chapter in Death in the Shadows and in Storyverse: Stealing the Show. I do have additional stories planned for this universe, but other projects are taking precedence.

    Chapter 3

So much detail! I forkin' love it! Macy! I cant wait to see what s***show will happen when she and Jase meets. I suspect she is a mini-version of him with his angelic powers...

    Chapter 2

40 souls to keep. Jase, unbeknownst to him, is an angel of sorts. Blessed with the power to heal, he has received his next assignment: Kansas City. I sense a fulfilling adventure in his future. Pondering briefly, the 40 tattoo remains the same. It could turn to 39, even 38 if we count both Helen and Christian, but no. For that, I see the symbolic reasoning: so Jase doesn't forget those he has helped. Very touching, Miss Author. Very touching, if I caught that hidden meaning correctly.

    Chapter 1

A mysterious start. Normally, I would consider Helen and Christian as wild cards and assume they have an ulterior motive, but that's not the case here. The grandmother seems genuine, and I trust the rug won't be swept out from under me. Exciting start. Looks like I found my new binge.
  8. Sending out a notification to this story's followers. This story's second edition edits will go live on Monday, April 3, 2023. Edits will not affect story continuity, but will change POV issues, punctuation, and grammar. All chapters will be updated within an hour's time.
  9. Next book is finished and ready for ya! Keep on truckin'.
  10. Riding a bolt of lightning is such a Cyrus move: flashy and flashy. I'm sure Alex will dust himself off...
  11. I love Cyrus's growth from his childhood. It shows how far he has come. Stacy is an underappreciated character, and I love her. She's perfect for Dave.
  12. Lol. I see what you did there.

Packed chapter, and I love it. 50/50 shot, says the author. I'm rooting for Thad! Oh, Trevor is so an alpha. He just hasn't realized it. This reader hopes for a repeat from Book 1: he discovers it when he and Randy get randy... The question is whether Dorian will rise from the proverbial grave. Is it his time? Will he and Karissa come to reclaim the pack and intimidate the McKinney family? Eagerly waiting for next week, as always.

I couldn't help myself. Could've been worse. At least it was a lava cake and not a Hostess Ding Dong.

But I like lurking. It's fun. Not sure about "rising" from the shadows, but we're almost done editing my first book. 😉
  19. Remis is a forkin' blast! I'd drink with him.

Uh uh. Need the one-hitter. It makes me lose track of time—I MEAN, helps me work out longer in the gym. I got love-handles to lose...

I almost tripped on the treadmill reading that cliffhanger. Shit's flying in Burney! Today's Monday. That means we get a new chapter, right?

I need a fucking cigarette. Edit will come afterward. *** This was a powerful chapter. So much so, I had to step away the moment Trevor found Seth. What happened to Seth was my worst fear in school. Growing up in a small, fire and brimstone Catholic town that expects a man to be with a woman has scarred me. You learn to hide your true self out of survival. How long should you look at another man? How long should you shake his hand when meeting him? Every interaction has to be perfect. Thankfully, I managed to leave for college, but even as a fully-out, gay man with a husband, I am still wary of those I interact with. My training as a bartender (reading people, behaviors, attire) has saved my ass many a time. An outburst like Cassidy's always hurts, especially when it's directed at family. To make it public is inexcusable. It's cold, and shows no self control. To wish her brother a horrible death... Fuck me, she needs help. Part of me hopes she's tossed into lava, but I hope she realizes the consequences of her actions. @WolfM, I've been waiting for a shoe to drop with this story. You broke a glass coffee table with a steel-toed boot. I love this chapter. I hate this chapter. But my God, this chapter is beautiful. It touched me; reminded me where I came from, how far I've come, and who I am today. Anyway... my comment from last chapter strengthens: I smell a new throuple couple.
