A sweet, coming-of-age story. Normally, "under 18" stories are not my bag, but I thoroughly enjoyed the author's writing style. The use of the MC being the narrator and cracking jokes with the reader is nice, but mix in the underlying supernatural themes and I couldn't stop reading. Wonderful work!

It feels right being back in this series. I'm hesitant to call this the last book in the series. There's temptation to create sidestories (can't recall who said it in a RitS chapter comment, but Zombies in the Shadows is definitely still on the table). Thanks, jkeeling! I didn't completely fall off the site. I did post some other small stories and prompts while working on this monster. Me too! It's a breath of fresh air. Yakob must be relaying your thoughts to the other characters. Be careful; he might be in your toothbrush cup! I'll miss Shaw. It was nice having another human learning about shifters (alongside Stacy), but the plot must continue. I'm excited to bring back this cast and create more cliffies! Stefan's the big threat now, but there's a couple smaller fish that need to be caught first. Abandoned? You mean one of my patented Coyote Cliffies? Had to leave some bait on the hook for my lovely readers. I'll be posting a chapter about once a week, but may get delayed if life gets a little crazy. We all know the good guy wins... right? I'm so happy to see everyone's comments and continued interest in this series!!

Gripping the flip phone, Vincent gained tunnel vision. Shaw was dead; ripped away from the world too soon. And it's all Stefan's fault! Anger filled him. He knew justice was needed. He opened the dated device and found the contacts, just to have the phone yanked away. "Wha—" Mason held it and scowled. "What the hell are you doing, Vinnie?" "Give that back! I'll kill him!" he seethed. His mate growled, "What do you mean? Did Stefan do it?" The rage couldn't be held back.

After Detective Shaw's death, Vincent and Mason feel the pressure to prepare themselves for the fight with Stefan. Vincent must master his affinities, as North America's fate depends on his victory. Will he be successful in exacting revenge, or will Aliz's destiny of war come to life? Tierney moves to Owensville, but must handle the EC's investigation into Alpha Stuerm first. Dirk tries to woo his newly found mate, Sarah Poll. Cyrus, Kaplan, and Wagner dig deep into Harold Snyder's business ventures. This, and much more in the final book of the In the Shadows trilogy!

I forkin' love this comment! I'd love to go there and do the same. I wonder what happened to all the Karens from today's time? Did they get blasted through airlocks or did they become company CEOs?

I'll change that out real fast. There were small connections, but I used the chapters to provide different perspectives to the world. Jared went to work for Oceanic Organization, which is where Horracio (he called it Dub-O) was before leaving Earth. Symmie's company was being invaded by NewHorizon, a fake company created by the Galactic Union to investigate misbehaving organizations. Other than that, no major connections.

It's not too hard to find time. Just working on one story at a time (learned my lesson with Rising in the Shadows and Cernunnos), and I luckily have a job I can do some writing when there's downtime. The house cleaning is tempting, but I already have a packed schedule for the next few months LOL. I'll probably start posting Death in the Shadows soon, but I'm stuck on a scene and would like to get a few more chapters ready to go.

Bwahaha! I thought of the story concept at work, and I can't stop thinking about it! There is a lot of research to be done with it, as I have no clue how mail-order spouses actually work, nor the legality/illegality of it. I'll probably draw up a plot line tomorrow at work.

Wanna know my secret to making my aliens? I wanted to make Symmie a strong character, but I couldn't create someone like the company owners mentioned by her. I'm still learning to diversify my characters away from the simple and morally correct tropes, and I hope I accomplished that with her.
