  1. I can imagine a team of FBI agents investigating a mass murder scene at the amphitheater. In today's time, such a happening in a small town might hit national news. Stack up too many bodies, and that might cause a spotlight to be shone on the Hunter's Association, causing a reveal of the supernatural world. Considering this group hasn't already declared the existence, they want to keep quiet as well. At least, it's the way I read the scenario
  2. Vincent is usually calm, but like most calm-natured people, when they are angered, it's palpable. I try to keep the magic and their developments realistic, if such power was real LOL. The only hindrance with writing such power is keeping the characters on the ground and not becoming god-like. It's why I like writing for Vincent. He possesses several affinities, but doesn't have the experience in applying them in a confrontation. Caleb, somehow, is an elegant, loyal goofball. I can't wait to see your reactions to some of the other characters on this series!
  3. There wasn't an "I'm impartial" option. I don't care if we keep DST or not. Customers will keep coming in my store, chirping about how beautiful/nasty it is outside while I'm stuck inside.
  4. Y'all can't wait for the assembling of the magical Avengers! The question is whether it'll be a slaughter, or a proper duel. 🤔
  5. I forkin' love this comment. A true analysis of the chapter from head to toe. I can't even say anything; it covered everything that needed to be said! Love it, scrubber! I love a simple wedding. Having been to several different kinds, I didn't think Mace and Vin wanted something elaborate. The battle of telepathy! Cyrus' lightning + evil cop = bacon (brownie points to those who get it). Always excited to see your comment, Patch! It's so hard keeping the murderer's identity a secret, but I know y'all will lose your minds. Hmm, depends. I can attest that gossip passes fast through a small town, but how fast can Tierney's shifter status pass? The pack will find out quick, but how quick will the murderer learn? I recall a line from RitS when Vin was awarded Mesker Park City. Mason mentioned he wasn't concerned with a takeover since it would generate too much news in today's time. How do hunters deal with this concept? I can't imagine groups of humans going to towns guns-a-blazin'. It always seemed a little off when stories created the hunters-vs-shifters warzone, as if the civilians would just stay indoors and not look. Would the hunters find ways to incriminate the known shifter leaders? Do they get personal and secretly poison them? I'll need to think about this when telling future stories... Interesting thought. Do hunters go after shifters alone, or all magical beings? I suppose it's up to the hunting party. Or maybe the murderer has their own vendetta... *gasp* Thanks so much for the comments!!!
  6. He laid there. Slack-jawed and speechless. With his legs wrapped around Mason’s waist, Vincent tried to catch his breath. The man that had swooped into his life, the one who had just made love to him had proposed. Tears formed as he squeaked, “Y-yes. Yes, I’ll marry you.” Mason exhaled harshly, smiled, then lowered himself to kiss Vincent. The movement caused them to moan, as they were still attached to the other. He whimpered inside Mason’s mouth as the man exited him. “Vinnie… You m
  7. So happy to have another fan. Just be careful, they can get a little rowdy when I leave one of my cliffies. The New York contingency? You mean the skinny guy who hasn't said much, the bear that stared a hole through Vincent's head, and the big alpha with fireballs for eyes? I mean, they seem harmless, right?
  8. Hmm, a lot happens in the darkness. I'd know since I'm a night owl. Guess you'll have to keep reading to find out.

    Chapter 81

Ah, Captain Snotwad has decided to bully our heroes. Even brings some back-up along. I was itching to see Garjah in action. Well, fighting action, if in being specific... Now we'll see more of Garjah in action
  10. Thanks for reading, Patch! They're fun to write, and a good break if I hit a writer's block.
  11. Vincent is smitten, but there's something else at play here. Can't quite put my finger on it though... Oh, if you like Caleb, just wait 'til you meet his family...
  12. I'm proud of some lines in this mini-series, although I see a missed opportunity. "Don't you need your flute?" "I'd rather have yours again." "He was caught blowin' his horn." Haerdin shook his head, causing his long, red beard to flow in the wind. "The last thing that lad needed was a horn. Might ask the king if we can confiscate— A blaring noise made him cringe. He spotted the youngin at the main gate, dragging a large instrument in the dirt. In disbelief, Haerdin whispered to Lothraer, "That's a big one, 'innit?"
  13. Not much you can really do against a pair of shadow mages. Instant incapacitation. Without Fenn, it's obvious there wasn't any brains between the alpha and deltas. Lmao, sweetness with a side of insulin. I'll be using that line from now on.
  14. Glad ya like 'em! I've been on the lookout for a prompt suggestion to continue from Part One, and I'm so glad I saw the newest ones this week. I think Derek might be my new favorite character to write for. Such good lines came from him.
  15. I do pride myself with the pacing in this series. Small details get left out in stories like this, and I'm interested in every one of them. Using Harry Potter as an example, the first spanned for a whole school-year. Surely, there was some sort of magical food fight that was left out! I aim to include the small and oftforgotten moments. I like Vincent. More intelligent than given credit for, but can be swayed easily in a social interaction. I resonated with him the most in this series.
  16. Glad you liked it, doc! I'm tempted to continue the story. Just gotta wait for the right prompt
  17. Prompt #27: Paranormal Fling. https://gayauthors.org/story/astone2292/rocky-prompts-tennessee/7 A sequel from a different posting within my prompts, as there were five comment motions for a continuation.
  18. The slamming of the bathroom stall only added to Zully’s desires. He growled as he closed the door behind him. Alone with the cute human. Derek was biting his bottom lip, and it drove the werewolf mad. In a lust-filled rush, both men dropped their pants and made contact. The human’s tongue was assertive, but Zully demanded control. Gripping one of the plump cheeks, he smirked at Derek’s inhalation. “Got any lube?” He nodded, turned, and bent over. As Derek fumbled in his chino poc
  19. Throw in some magic and these two will always have an incredible time.
  20. Uh oh. Working for the EC? Who knows if our favorite shadow mage will do it. I think Tierney just assumed. Between the two shadow mages, they could handle the transport. If anything, Holly and Vincent left Tierney by himself. What would've happened if the receptionist called for back-up? Thanks, re! I'm glad I can visualize scenes nicely. I didn't want to leave Stacy and Dave out for too long, but at least we know they're getting busy. I believe both Stacy and Vincent will say yes. The Stuerm issue has come, but is it completely gone? Only time will tell. Shadow mages would make killer money if they were real. Doordashers, taxis, police officers. But there's very few of them, so I suppose governmental clean-up duty is a good way to employ them. Spontaneous is absolutely correct. Fenn's gotta be better than Stormy, right? Right? Biting is like feet. Some people just aren't into it. Let's hope Stacy is really open-minded. It is symbolic, but it's a true dedication to the love for each other. The mating bond might be for the wolves part of them, and the marriage for their humans. Nothing more heartfelt than proposing while inside your lover. I knew you'd really like this chapter, Patch. Thanks for commenting, everybody! Much appreciated!
  21. Oh yeah, this thing's fast paced. Wolves aren't idle. They like to move. Vincent might go along with things. He's now being courted by the smexiest man he's ever seen.
  22. Ooooh, enjoy the series! I'm looking forward to all of the reactions and comments along the way!
  23. The after-sex proposal was not in my itinerary, but just like Mason, it was impulsive and well-placed. The amount of gravitas this chapter added for the final plotpoint in this story is monumental! I'm so excited to your comment, Ajbt, and I can't wait to see everyone else's lost marbles.
  24. #27... I like it! @Aditus @Valkyrie Time to find out what happens with Zully and Derek at LGBTequila!
  25. A ringing phone woke him. Sleepily grabbing it, Tierney found there wasn't a call waiting. Another ring came from his satchel. It's the other one. Hastily, he leaped for it. "Hello?" "Good morning, Alpha Scott." "Councilman Marlo. Sorry, didn't have the phone nearby." "Quite all right. Beta Andrews provided plenty of information overnight, both verbal and digital. Enough so to issue an arrest and void Stuerm's claim over the territory." "I figured there was more than I found.
