I think the whole thing is politically motivated. The guy that outed him, this Mike person, admits to being a male prostitute that told the story because he was disgusted that this guy is leading a campaign for an amendment banning gay marriage in Colorado that happens to be on the ballot Tues. Says he was tired of the hypocricy. Come on, he's screwing the guy for three years and he just now figures that out? yeah, right. The story's probably true, but the timing sucks. As for ABC, it's every media outlet. SEX SELLS. And Gay Sex and the head Preacher of all the evangels? Hell, that'll sell more ads than Hillary having an affair. Rick

I hate to throw a damper on the lighter mood, once we established that the original post was satire. BUT, This link is for real. It's one of several parts of Exodus, an ex-gay ministry that is supposed to convert Gay to Straight. This particular place in Memphis specializes in "treating" gay teens in a residential setting. These kids are virtual prisoners here while they are brainwashed into believing that they can't be gay and believe in God and the hereafter. It's really sad. According to the tag on the vid, it is the original video produced for the song, and is very rare. Because of the subject matter, I doubt it got much airplay. The date is during the Regan years after all. Rick

A sad sad twist in the shooting in Wisconsin. I was listening to the news on Public Radio in my car today. It seems the young boy that shot his principal was angry because the school would do nothing about bullies who were calling him fag and faggot, to quote the news article. Children can be vicious to other children. This young man obviously went to far, but I for one can appreciate his frustration if the school was ignoring his plea for help. To make this story even more tragic, the prosecutors are charging the boy who just turned 15 as an adult and he is looking at life in prison. An adult prison. Yeah, that sounds like justice to me. I saw this video for the first time today. It is very sweet. Don't have too much to add, but I wanted to take the opportunity to show off my new Avatar. Hope it posts ok. Anyhow, I watched this kid and, yes it's definitely Dutch. Dontcha just love little Dutch boys? Cute as he can be. There was one part of the song that was particularly poignant where he talks about the other kids calling his dad homos. I'm thinking there's a story there. I'm still a virgin author trying to finish his first story, but this may be an idea for my next or a short story. Could be really cool. Maybe we could start a round robin story with that or something. hugs Rick
