Why wouldn't he be? After all, he was a part of it. He kept that knowledge to himself. After all, it wasn't a commune of light shifters he could join. Hmmmmmm...it seems Asa has a way of hiding his shifter ability from other shifters according to what I just put in bold letters. Hope I am right and the fact he had a funny feeling going on inside of him until he found out Caleb was going to be ok.

I loved the flirting when they both woke up. They do have a passel of work to do though. I know you have built a few things from when I read your posts in your group. So I know you know how the cabin should be built and it shows in this chapter just how talented you are in that. Probably just as talented as you are in writing as in building things.

I love the teasing between them. Sounds like they are getting really comfortable with each other. The attraction they feel for each other is mutual. Be glad when they both find out that they really are attracted to each other. The cabin may be crooked but their friendship may be their salvation when they get the other cabin finished plus also I hope Jubal stays there with Lucas. -
I thought the same thing lol Gary, that was a fantastic chapter. Jubal doesn't like being around god-fearing people due to the way he was raised by his pa. And the way the sheriff was eyeing him made me think he thought Jubal was eye candy hehehe
