Well, that sounds funny, but it was not so much for me. (Not a criticism nor badly taken!!!) I am not for writing sex scenes. I had a couple of beers writing that and still I needed some advice. Yes, you must be able to talk about writing such descriptions. Your editor and beta reader must be, too. Luckily mine were! When we come to the sex scenes, I now know what the term writer's block means! I can imagine it fine, but penning it down...? I lack the words! My appreciation for a good sex scene has drastically increased after this experience! Check out @CassieQ's stories!

Yes, correct. First of all, they have spend a long time together during the first two shifts. I did not outline every minute they were together. You learn how people react and what they think when sitting with them in the same car for hours. I think only once have I had a very quiet crewmate. A meticulous officer, but just not a talker. Can be refreshing, too. As for the relationships, maybe it is my age or my scientific background. "Stop wasting time". Make clear what you want, what you expect and who you are, no point in hiding anything or you will be playing a role that is not you for potentially the rest of or life. Luckily, I found a man who thinks the same. Keep up your observations. Suffice to say that I dislike when a MC is extremely good-looking, rich, intelligent, lovable, (insert array of further positives) or plain perfect. Yes, I would think so. Good looks don't always equate to happiness. Well, yes. Sorry, I did not want to make them vile. While I completely agree with you, I wanted to paint them as just very "that is not what one does" kind of people, not haters. They are stuck in the fifties. Yes, the kids luckily "escaped" and are successful and confident. What I can not understand are people who constantly try "making their families love them". Yes, they are blood relatives, but if they hate you, well ... why bother? Admittedly, in the US it seems to be because parents literally "own" their kids until after university, so people have to play nice or they end up with nothing. Well, I said I researched restaurant interiors, I never claimed that I understood them So, sorry, no answer to that from me. I am not a fan of carpets either. Have none at home. Many thanks! As for the first story, "Unchained", I must admit I cheated a bit. It was my submission to the Secret Authors Contest 2023 although I had never published anything before. Luckily, it was accepted nonetheless. So, there was a fixed readership interested in the contest. I doubt that it would have created so much response otherwise. As for this story, I cannot thank @Mikiesboy and @CassieQ enough for the work they have put into this story and the advertisement they have done through their followers when I published this. Yes! So, I hope that explains why Jamie is convinced Mike was "straight as an arrow". I also hope that in the texting scene last chapter it came through that Mike was very interested, Jamie just doesn't see it. Nobody is perfect

Thank you! The time is donated for free, and one has to buy some kit like boots. Over eight, ten and twelve hour shifts one gets different kind of "pocket money" to buy some food. If one does over a certain amount of hours a year one gets a boot allowance. I calculated my hourly rate to be £1.79 per hour. This is proper volunteer work. We got training schedules and could apply for central courses, but the individual shifts are arranged where one is based. If a Special is a part of a neighborhood team, they would know the shifts and arrange with their colleagues directly. as I was a response shift Special, I sent a group email to the response shift sergeants a couple of days before I would join. But I spent seven years coming every Thursday and often Saturdays, so they knew after a while. But yes, sometimes people just turned up. If they knew you it was not an issue. If you are knew that was frowned upon. Of course, Specials are "secretly" screened. If certain officers in a shift gave their okay, about anyone in the shift would be happy to work with you. Well, let's see who does the bowing, shall we?
