Sorry, did not see your comment before I answered before. Can you elaborate on the challenges you faced? We were not allowed any "pins/stickers" etc on the uniform, so unless you told a Member of the Public (MoP), how would they know? Would you agree that police stations are rumour mills par exellence? Thank you!

Yes, it is. Totally deliberate. It is 1st person point-of-view, so let him tell. I will publish in the Writers blog some previous versions. You will then see a drastic change. It was so dull, originally. That is where an excellent editor comes in...

I did not have any issues, whether colleagues knew or not. But again, the Met is different, and I have heard some bad stuff. Maybe there is gay regular out there who can comment?

“Stop yawning," Nam said as we walked down the stairs from the men’s locker room. “I’m just not a morning person. Starting work at seven should be banned.” It didn't help that my flatmate, Rebecca, had come home from her shift on the wrong side of midnight, dropping a bowl of cereal in the kitchen. She then lost any consideration points she had accrued by swearing like a trooper while clearing it up. “Some would say you aren’t a person at all.” I refused to take my best frien

Jamie, mischievously called Leon by his colleagues, is a mid-twenties police officer in London Enfield who loves his job. Having been unlucky with previous relationships, he is scared about his feelings for a new Special Constable who joins his shift, Mike. This becomes only one of his problems when an unusual encounter with a suspect leaves him with more questions than answers, putting Jamie into the heart of a secret reaching deep into the UK government and on a path of self discovery.

The problem is not one ad, but we are swarmed with them. If the greedy ###### at Google would scale down a bit, there would not be a need for ad blockers. I am paying for the sites I use, including news. But I refuse doing so on sites where my data and I already payment enough.

Why, if I may ask?

Story Archive Tech - What do you need?
lawfulneutralmage commented on Myr's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I would be very happy, if you could consider the following points: 1. When selecting a story and one clicks on the author, one gets to the author's story collection. Good! But if I then click on the author anywhere, I can never get to their profile, only always again to the story collection. Unless I search for the member, I cannot see their profile. Maybe I am missing a point (and click) ? 2. Blogs/clubs/activity. I use the "All activity" a lot, but it just is a lot what I would consider "irrelevant" (sorry). I tried using the options in the "My activity stream", but then I missed stuff. My first request would be the ability to unfollow a thread. My second would be some clarification around blogs/clubs/updates. I do not know what bugs me there, but it "doesn't feel right". Sorry. Probably the word of the day which is posted as new entry when I go to "Writing World" I get hundreds of word of the day entries which drowns all other content of that blog/club. 3. I don't know whether it has to do with a club's visibility settings, but through the All Activity I can see posts in clubs I am not a member, e,g.: I can even navigate there and form there, browse the rest of the club (navigation section of unread topics at the bottom). I can react to the posts, but not reply. 3. "Member dashboard", another one I use frequently. The "story of the moment" selection mechanism seems to be limited. It seems to suggest from a limited pool. I get suggested the same story several times whereas there are probably a lot of hidden gems that are never seen there. More later, work now. -

Hi, First of all, AAA is a really good idea! Thank you for doing it! Concerning the future format of it, I just find that the interviews are not comparable. I would suggest asking a standard set of questions about three topics, something like: 1. Their writing: 1a. How did you get to it? 1b. What did you do to learn it/improve skill? 1c. What do you consider your writing strength/weaknesses? 1d.What would be your advice for beginners? 2. Them and GA: 2a. How did you find GA and why did you join? 2b. What were your expectations and were they met? 2c. Suggestions/Comments? 2d. What is you relationship to feedback/How do you want it? 2e. What do you like reading/what would you never read? 3. The person themself: 3a. How would a good friend describe you as a person? 3b. What do you like/dislike? (e.g. food) 3c. What do you do when you do not write (i.e. work/hobbies)? And then a set of questions that the member suggested when they suggested the author to interview, unless covered by the above. Unless, the author selection process is automated according to certain criteria like number of stories greater than 3, must have ad recommendations etc. As for the questions: What is your favorite story/collection on Gay Authors? Terre Nouvelle by Mike Arram. What is your favorite food? Indian. If you could accomplish one thing for 2024, what would it be? Loose weight.- 14 comments

Yep, I began noticing that in myself, and I do not use social media (unless one counts this site). Yet, my attention span has gone down over the years of instant gratification. It takes a lot now, not to bore me. I do not dare thinking how that is with younger people...
