Good to hear from you. Glad you're enjoying the story. Well, I'll keep from commenting on Joey's drug problem... that'd be giving too much away. Gotta keep everybody coming back to find out what the idgmo does!

Counter productive... I was gonna say suicide, but counter productive sounds so much LESS DRAMATIC. Now that's a combo of words we don't see much around here. Somebody needs to hand out happy pills.

I really enjoy a good fantasy story, but am not very fond of sci-fi... and I've intended to write a fantasy epic for the longest, but they are very difficult to make original and new instead of the same boring formula over and over. That's the main reason I'm taking that idea very slowly... Forum games are fun! But I do agree they shouldn't be amongst other threads in the lounge. Perhaps a subforum is in order... most forums have a forum specifically for the forum games. They're great fun when you're just in a silly mood and want to have a quick laugh. All this talk about drama queens... ~sighs~ Sites die because of this, you know. Too many people not willing to give a little and reach a happy medium... Intelligent discussions... Graeme's right, there are a few in the Teen Spot forum. That's where a lot of my thread creating happens, since I'm around teens five days a week if not more, and I am one myself, lol. But, to tell the truth, I dislike discussing politics. I offend people when I talk about religion. So I try to stay away from those two topics.

I wonder if I should enter the thread without my hazmat suit??? I have returned after having no internet for four days... and I think that if I'd been without any longer I'd have gone completely insane from being cut off from the outside world. MS only offers so much intelligent conversation. And Rick, don't lie! That goat told me all about what happened! Tsk tsk! So yes, not a single actual point to this post... but it's my first since I've gotten my net back, so yay!

About a secret relationship in the rural south? Oh, this is going to be fun... lil gay boys in Louisiana... Actually, I went to New Orleans back in the day before Katrina a lot, and WOW some of those cajun boys are HAWT. Yummies. I just hope that they don't overdramatize this movie to the point to where it gets dumb... I mean, yeah, the south isn't the best place in the world, but even here it's very rare to have things as horrible as they get portrayed sometimes. I'll have to read the book sometime soon, too.

Fortunately my counterculture tendencies allow me to carry around a backpack in which I stow everything I need. After all, how does one leave without... Cigs Lighter Backup lighter Lotion Body spray Toothbrush Little thingy of toothpaste Deodorant (just in case I get stuck somewhere overnight) Money Cards (ID, phone card, etc.) The almighty screwdriver!!! HOW do you NOT have to have one of those?! All my random paraphrenalia... Laptop (on occasion) CD case MP3 player (no, I didn't replace CD's, just added to them) Black nail polish A handful of pens and pencils Sharpies of assorted colors!!! Old midnight blue manic panic hair dye... why is this still in here... The book I'm currently reading Safety pins!!! (These can be a lifesaver... laugh if you want, but this once I ripped my pants, and w/o safety pins my entire right ass cheek would've been visible... not to mention these are quite versatile for piercings. ) Scissors Pocket pack of kleenex Then there's the hidden pocket, whose contents are not to be disclosed to the unworthy, muah ha ha! Every now and then a schoolbook or binder when I need it. Most of the time a change of clothes or at least a spare shirt (jeans can be worn twice without incident) My backpack is important... and it's falling apart, and I need a new one, hehe. It's necessary considering my lifestyle... I go to school, and wherever I end up after I get out, I MIGHT not make it back home that night depending on the situation and what I want to do, so yeah. Gotta be prepared. And plus, don't diss the screwdriver! It's probably the most versatile tool there is!

I've started writing the outline for a new story I'm planning to write, and I wanted to follow a theme for the names of characters. Two major things: is this a good idea, or is it too... over the top? Second, I need names!!! I wanted to follow a plant theme... names of plants, flowers, or something related. Rowan, Thorn, Hyacinth, etc. The more unique, the better. This is still a work in progress, but I think it might fit the subject matter of the story. It would be best classified as an epic fantasy (I've been wanting to write one for a really long time now, but no decent ideas), and to sum it up it chronicles specific characters on either side of a civil war between fairies. I'm trying to plan it out nice and carefully since so many epic fantasies are incredibly predictable and dull. So, is the themed name thing too over the top for the story, or does it fit the subject matter enough for me to pull it off without it seeming dumb to the reader? And, suggestions for names?

Okay, the color switch there made my brain do a weird little flipflop thing.... but, GREEN! Because green is the color of so many things I love, like money! Sore throat or stubbed toe (assuming both were of moderate severity)?

Okay, I'm going to be truthful with this.... I'm an attention whore, there, I said it. When I write, I write to grab people's attention. I want them to look at what I wrote, read it, and go WOW, then write to me and let me know they went WOW. It gives me my thrills, hehe. The reader base I have is very important, because without it I wouldn't be motivated to write more and get better at writing. I would probably still write for fun every now and then, but it wouldn't be anything anyone would go 'ooooo' over. I don't think that makes me any different from most internet authors; we all crave praise, and it makes us work better. Readers have a good bit of influence of my work, I think. If I read an email from someone who wrote me and it gives me and idea, I go with it. So, potentially, readers, have an untold amount of influence on what I write. (Btw, Dio, you're right, when I see something like "Well, since no one emailed me about the last chapter, I'm not going to write anymore until...." I want to beat somebody's ass, can't stand that, I think it's extremely selfish)

I've been wanting to read ART since I heard about it, and it's very sad that it seems the issue won't be resolved any time in the near future. Just for the record... if what I write ever becomes popular at all, and all of a sudden I disappear, feel free to post my stories wherever. If I don't show up to complain about it, I'm fine with it, lol. I trust you'll keep us posted if anything new develops that you hear of, Graeme, and I appreciate you sharing what you know about ART's status.

OMFG!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!! Oh, I still haven't quit laughing!!! Poor kitty!!! I wanted to be like "That's cruelty to animals!!" but instead I kept giggling! Wow!

A little known secret... the best recipe for cheesecake is on the back of the box of Knox unflavored gelatin. People have begged my mother for her recipe, but the kicker is that it's right there in the open, and it's sooooo incredibly easy and versatile. Plus, it's easy to remember! Whatever kind of cheesecake you want, just add to it. Here's the recipe. (Tis all in standard, so sorry to you metric using folks) 1 envelope of Knox unflavored gelatine (the envelope contains 7 grams of gelatin, if that helps anyone that can't get that brand where they live) 1 cup cold water 2 8 oz. packages of cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 9-inch graham cracker crust In a saucepan, add gelatine to 1/4 cup cold water, and let stand one minute. Stir over low heat until dissolved. (Or, you can do it in the microwave! Just let it sit in the 1/4 cup cold water for TWO minutes, then nuke it about forty secs, stir it, and let it sit two minutes. If it's not totally dissolved, do it again.) Get a large bowl and beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until it's blended. Gradually add the gelatine and remaining water until it's all nice and smooth. Pour it into your crust (I find that homemade crust with whatever you like to add, like toffee chips or chocolate chips, is pretty awesome), and stick it in the fridge until it firms up. See? So easy, no baking or anything. And you can do a lot with this simple recipe, and it's damn good cheesecake.

Hot water. I live in MS... cold drinks are a necessity to survive the summer. Salsa or cheese dip?

Hot breakfast, but nothing greasy, ew. A small house on a lot of land, or a huge house set on a piece of land that it barely fits on?

I learned to read when I was three years old. When I was young, reading was a huge part of my life since it was a way to escape my real life and kind of put everything on hold long enough to follow along in someone else's life. The reason I'm spending so much time writing gay fiction is because it's what I relate to a lot. Before I started reading gay fiction, I was pretty sure I was alone in a lot of the feelings and circumstances I had. So, when I found out I wasn't, it was kind of natural to want to contribute to it. I love to write, and it's something I like to think I'm fairly decent at. The only specific person who has really influenced me to write (a lot of people have in their own little ways, but I'm talking majorly) would be a good friend of mine who's been in contact with me for a long time now, ever since I first started posting the first story I wrote on Nifty. He's always made sure I know that he thinks I'm a great writer (even though now when I look back it seems as if he was lying through his teeth to me, lol), and he's been extremely supportive. When I first started, I had no idea if I was any good or not, and he gave me the motivation to keep trying and getting better. Okay, I kind of lied. Empathy mentioned Comicality earlier. He freakin' rocks. GFD was, and still is, one of my absolute favorite stories I've ever read online (even though it's not finished... *hint hint*). It really had a serious impact on me, and I guess I kind of wanted to have that same impact on someone else someday, and this was a way to use what talents I have to try.

Okay, I might have to stop offending every single Christian I come into contact with. Maybe there's hope for them after all. I've been telling them all over and over that if they're really Christians (Jews can still get away with it), then they're supposed to take the teachings of the new testament over the old.... and it seems like this is sinking in with a few people. Jesus did always say to just be nice to everybody (in so many words). I will say that I strongly disagree that homosexuality is a product of birth in and of itself. I think that it is mainly a psychological thing, and that perhaps certain genes contribute to the likelihood that a person will be homosexual. I do, however, believe that it is completely involuntary. There is no "choice" involved. And, as the APA has said countless times, I think it would be extremely risky and potentially very harmful to a person to attempt to change a person's orientation. This is something that develops naturally, and some things just shouldn't be screwed with. I like that a Baptist is being so intelligent about things. Normally they're the hellfire and brimstone preaching ones, so this is nice. Maybe in the future this will be the common view of Christians. It's something to hope for, anyway. I'm not gonna hold my breath, though. -
Harry just gets hotter and hotter. Can't wait for the next book to come out... I try to avoid anything that is unfinished for this very reason, I can't STAND not knowing how the damned thing ends. J.K. needs to move her tush...

Happy birthday!!!! So, I hope something absolutely kickass happens on your b-day, since everyone deserves a kickass event on their special day. Seventeen is a pretty cool age, too. Go blow on a candle or something! teehee, blow...

So, chapter one is done. It's right here, and I hope you read it even if you read the original already. This rewrite is hopefully going to revitalize and make the story a lot better to read. Hope you enjoy, and let me know if you like it!!!!!!!

My version of quitting is being without money, a ride to the store, or someone over eighteen to buy cigarettes for me. As soon as the right combination occurs, I'm a smoker again. And me without cigarettes is a very bad thing. I don't intend to quit. I like to think I at least know what I'm going to die from. It kinda makes me feel invincible for the time being.

Hehehe! Kevin! I love it! You should apply to be one of the Queer Eye guys! (I bet they make a lotta money....) I might take some of your advice. Back in the day I used to actually try and groom and all that, but nowadays I shave once or twice a week, and other than deodorant and body spray I don't do much... although everyone I hug always tells me I smell great.

Hehehe. You guys rock. You make me feel all blushy and shiz. GACWBF! YAY! I feel so special! Okay, now I'm just being kind of random, but I'm so smiley. :D :D Thanks again, guys.

Ah... he's cute, but in a very limited sort of way. The music sounds really eighties-y, lol. I kind of like it. All in all, not really my thing, but I could get into it if I tried.
