  1. Thanks, Xander, and you're so subtle.
  2. When Brandon and I got home from work on Wednesday afternoon, both Holly and Noah were already there. We said hello to each of them first, and then we all sat down to eat lunch. As soon as we finished our meal, we helped clear off the table before we started getting ready to go to the courthouse. There were still a couple of hours before the ceremony would begin, but we had a lot to do and the boys would need help with their ties. We also wanted to make sure Hayden and Hunter looked good for thi
  3. Brock decides to go to a Halloween Party sponsored by a local gay group, but it doesn't turn out exactly the way he planned.
  4. It was two weeks before Halloween and I was still wracking my brain trying to decide on a costume for the party I was planning to attend. I was torn between three costumes I had found online. I could go as Westley from the Princess Bride, or as a ghost pirate like the ones you might see in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie, or Pennywise from It. I weighed my options carefully, and even though I wanted to standout, I didn’t want to scare off any guys that I might be able to hook up with later.
  5. Thanks, Xander.

    Another Milestone

Thanks, Butcher, and having the adoption done on Josh's birthday and Danny and Brandon getting married on Dion's birthday makes this special for everyone.
  7. Yes, since they're all living under the same roof they have all cooperated nicely to take care of the boys and make things run smoothly. They know whatever they do to help the others, someone else will do something to help them when the time comes, and the boys know they can count on all of the adults for whatever they need.
  8. Yes, there's a lot going on and only a couple of chapters left to go, and then we'll all be busy with our holiday activities.
  9. We'll all cross our fingers, Butcher.
  10. On Friday, I called Shady Pines to speak with Dr. Epstein. “I just wanted to find out how Julie Thornton is doing.” “She’s still being hydrated and medicated intravenously, and she’s also receiving oxygen treatments so we’re keeping her in the hospital for a few more days. You can visit her there, if you wish.” “Her sons are only eight and I haven’t told them how serious her condition is, so I’d rather not take them to visit her there. I’ll find another way to explain this to them and

    A Time For Lovers

Yes, sometimes adapting to living at the Hotel isn't easy, but Ryan is making the most of it. I'm sure he'll settle in eventually. And since Shannon was injured in an accident, I'm certain his employer will welcome him back when he recovers. It was also a suggestion from certain readers that I let Danny take over telling the Next Generation story, since he's basically the one in charge now.

    A Lot Going On

I'm sure you're correct about all of this.

    A Busy November

Yes, it's good that Brenda and Pat came to the Hotel for Thanksgiving, since Trey had never cooked a turkey before and was nervous about doing it. It's also good that Elliot wants to spend time with Benny so he can get to know him better, and with a smaller crowd for Thanksgiving it should give them all time to get to know each other a little better and Danny and Brandon will get to spend some time with Brandon's parents in the process. In the meantime, Josh and Jake will be able to spend the holiday with Shannon and Nick.

Yes, dealing with death is never easy, no matter how old you are. I've had to deal with it many times, but like they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

    A Lot Going On

Yes, it seems she has a lot going against her.
  16. Once again there's a lot going on. I'm glad you appreciate how they named the health center and the athletic fields, and we'll have to wait to see what Elliot decides to do after he becomes a lawyer. Who knows, he may eventually want to have Steve's job. Yes, it was a shame about Shannon's accident and it was good that Jake was able to be with his son for a month before having to return home, and even better that Josh was able to stay longer. We'll see what Danny discovers with this new boy.
  17. Yes, the family is very community oriented and they're concerned about much more than just themselves. Dion and Elliot are just another example of the lengths they go to in order to help out. It was also a cute scene when Noah went in to show Elliot he was maturing and a sign he was growing up. Frankie's actions not only brought him recognition, but it has filtered down to others in the family as well. It's amazing how that happens.

Thanks, pvtguy. I'm glad you appreciate how I handle things in the story and I hope you find the remaining chapters just as rewarding and enjoyable.

Yes, it's another impediment on top of what she's already dealing with.

    Our Athletes

Thank you and there is a lot going on. Frankie will surely be recognized for what he did, and thankfully he survived that episode. Things are also going well for Danny and Brandon too and they'll soon each have their own offices inside the health center. Noah is also starting to fit in, with Elliot's help, and things are going well. We'll have to wait to see if Frankie gets the promotion he desires. Thanks for the feedback.

You caught me and my editor again, but I'v corrected it now. Thanks for keeping me on my toes.

Yes, the later Pern series can be less exciting if not read and explained by someone knowledgeable. And you are all getting ahead of me with Julie, so let's enjoy her while we can.

Trust me, they know. They're not stupid, but you'll see some more over the final few chapters.

That's why it's good to have a doctor in the house.
  25. The night after we had the practice run for the Haunted House, we read the final chapter of Dragondrums to the boys. “That was really good and I’m glad Piemur bonded with a fire-lizard too,” Wyatt said as soon as I closed the book. “What’s next?” Tristan demanded. “You have a choice. We can read the Dragonriders of Pern trilogy next, which is focused more on the dragons and the dragon riders than the apprentices at Harper Hall. Some of the story takes place before the books we just rea
