  1. I will enter 2017 hopeful, although I'm also prepared for it to go to hell in a hand basket.
  2. If I wasn't able to keep the ones I made in past years, why should I do this again? LOL
  3. Since my friends overseas celebrate the New Year well ahead of us, I wanted to post this before the clock strikes midnight there. Happy New Year to everyone at G.A. May each of you enjoy a safe, happy, and prosperous 2017!

    Soak City

By the time Mike, Adam, Jack and Megan reached the end of the trail again, they saw their parents had returned from shopping and were unloading the van. In order to see if they could help, the four of them hurried back and were greeted by their parents as they approached. "And where have you been?" Judy asked playfully, and Jack and Megan quickly looked at Mike and Adam to see how they were going to respond. "We just went for a little walk, that's all," Mike told his mother. Jack and Megan
  5. Yet another one! Too many of those we admired are dropping like flies. RIP, Carrie!

    A Fresh Start

Thanks, Stix. I already had the chapter ready to go, but I didn't want to ruin the surprise by telling you about it in your last comment. There will be many more things happening, including with Noah, but it may take a while before those things develop. I'm glad you're still enjoying the story and thanks for the feedback.

    A Fresh Start

    Thanks, Tor.
  8. When the alarm went off on Monday morning, I raced around to get myself ready first before waking Noah and Benny. Then, I helped Benny select a nice outfit to wear, while Brandon fixed breakfast. The food was on our plates and waiting for us when we got downstairs, and today we were having Brandon's version of an Egg McMuffin, along with some home fries. As soon as we'd finished eating, I had Benny and Joshie slide into the middle seat of the SUV and buckle in so we could head to the element
  9. Man, we've lost another one. RIP George Michael.
  10. Happy Birthday, Tim! I've always heard it's a pain to be a Christmas baby, so I hope you have a great one and may you enjoy many, many more.
  11. Happy Birthday, PJ! I hope it's a great one and may you enjoy many, many more.
  12. I'd like to wish the members of my G.A. family one of the following: Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Joyous Kwanzaa! or whatever Seasonal Greeting is appropriate! May the New Year also meet your expectations and help you fulfill your hopes and dreams!
  13. Happy Birthday, Mike! I hope it's a great one and may you enjoy many, many more.

    Exploring

When Mike and Adam returned to their cabin after leaving Jack and Megan with their parents, Mike reached for the door handle on the cabin they were staying at and discovered the door was unlocked. He realized it was a good thing though, since there was only a single key and one of their parents had it, so he opened the door and they went inside. The boys immediately saw their parents were sitting at the table playing a game, but Mike and Adam weren't fooled by the innocent looking scene. They

    Fitting In

Thanks, Stix, and now you'll have to wait and see if your assumption is correct.

    Fitting In

    Thanks, Tor.
  17. As Brandon and I got ready to leave for work Saturday morning, we decided to let the boys sleep in. Brandon and I only had a half-day scheduled to provide appointment times for the parents who couldn't afford to take time off from work during the week to bring their kids in. Sometimes we even had to stay a little longer if there was a huge demand, but we only allowed parents who had no other option to use these time slots, unless there was an emergency. It helped that we had Dion and Trey to
  18. Happy Birthday, Rachel! I hope it's a great one and may you enjoy many, many more.

    A Day of Thrills

Mike and Adam got up early Wednesday morning, hurried through their morning preparations and then grabbed a quick, yet filling breakfast. By the time they arrived at the Kritzer's cabin, Jack, Megan and their parents were already waiting on the porch and the kids were eager to get going. "I'm glad you're here, because I'm not sure how much longer I could have kept them contained," Jim quipped, with his wife nodding her head in agreement. "They're so eager they could probably run ahead of the
  21. Happy Birthday, Allan! I hope it's a great one and may you enjoy many, many more.
  22. Thanks, Petey, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sometimes it's better to be understanding and to not give in to your first impulses, which happened in this case. If only they all could end this well. Thanks for your feedback.

    Chapter 17 - Coping

As I said in my reply to your comment about the last chapter, Leo is trying to be understanding and hopes that this will work out for him and Colt, but he's always been a little afraid that this would merely be a passing fling. He's trying to give Colt the reins and see where it goes from there. Once again, thanks for the feedback.
  24. Leo was always uncertain about the relationship, due to the age difference, plus he understood that most people sew their oats prior to getting in a relationship, which Colt had never done. This is the reason he's being so patient, because even though he hopes the relationship will last, he's always had some doubts. Thanks for the feedback.
  25. It's sad to see another one pass. RIP Alan Thicke.
