  1. 300 Posts!! It didn't take NEARLY as long as getting up to 200 did... hmm. I must be more active on the boards lately.
  2. Oh yay, it's working now! Oh come on, US! WE can do better than that!
  3. *sigh* WHY are they always from Wisconsin?
  4. oh my God... That is absolutely horrific. And social services gave the child BACK?!?! *sigh* I hope that guy rots in jail for what he did.
  5. I thought the first one was funny. But I didn't see it in the theatre. I saw it in my own house, where I didn't have to listen to people talk, or watch the people in the row in front of me make out.
  6. I say hurray to both stories!! Especially Educating My Parents. The Bible-reading was awesome. It's what I had to do whenI was younger. It helped a lot. Wonderful job, as usual!
  7. Yes, this is certainly going to be one of those "Rent when you have nothing better to do" movies. Because I would NOT waste the money to see it in the theater!
  8. I don't think that those figures were meant to be accurate. I think they were more for just stressing the point that it MIGHT be a possibility, but no matter what, the way the father is behaving is going to affect the relationship he has with his son.
  9. First of all, I freakin' adore Dan Savage. He's incredibly funny, and give good advice. Secondly, all I can say is AWWWW! I wish that woman was MY aunt! While I was never as extreme as that boy, I certainly had my moments, and I'm sure my parents realized. Someone like that in my life would have been a huge help. So Kudos to her!
  10. My only issue with things like this, is there's a difference between what people SAY they would do, and what they actually do. They might just want to come off as more tolerant than they actually are... Perhaps that's just the cynical Ben coming out....
  11. Haha... oh racial stereotypes...
  12. Very interesting!
  13. Wow, that's really sad... I will be sure to try and find the film!
  14. I hate it when I have bad dreams... and I KNOW they're bad dreams, so I try to wake up. Only I can't... So I try and try... and finally I do, and I'm all flustered and freaked out!
  15. Honestly, it makes sense to me... I'm not sure why. I've been rereading the books, and I've been doing a lot of "Oh, I see it now..." I was more shocked to learn that Neville marries Hannah Abbott. THAT came out of nowhere! I mean, I always figured he'd marry a Hufflepuff, but I was betting on Susan Bones. And I apologize if I just geeked all of you out... *goes back to corner*
  16. Hmm. I'm from the boring ol' Midwest. Woo Wisconsin. All this talk of Wales is making me jealous. My family is from Wales (And I mean the great great grandfather who came here in the 1890's) I want to go there. And I love rain, so that wouldn't bother me at all. Of course, it's been raining here for like two weeks, so I feel like I'm somewhere Marine West Coast climatey. Yup.
  17. HA! Yes, Ron and Hermione will be hooking up within the next few chapters. That is, when Ron finally gets the hint about the whiole thing. As for Adrian's secret... I struggled with that part for a long while. I could have just told the truth, and it would have either been no problem (Harry doesn't like Malfoy, but trusts Adrian) or Harry would have simply said no. I didn't want to do that, becasue I feel that Harry would have been more understanding than that. Adrian's secret will come back to haunt him. How or When remains to be seen. There are a few different ways I could play things, and honestly, I'm not sure yet. Thanks for the comment! And it did make me smile!
  18. I just wanted to say that this story left me with a good feeling. Great job Ieshwar!!
  19. Aw, man I love dreams. I can usually remember them too. A lot of the dreams I have are Harry Potter themed (as is most of my life! ) But this is one of my favorites. So I had a dream that I was working on a musical (I believe it was Zanna, Don't! a pretty smashing show) and I met this boy. His name was Ben, which I thought was adorable, because that's my name too. We started dating, and everyone called us cutsey names like The Bens, and B-Squared and stuff like that. ANYWAY, The show opens, and I know that I'm going to have a ton of college friends come and see it. So I'm onstage, and in the middle of my song, I start to fly. Like, real flying, over the audience. It was pretty sweet. After the show, I'm standing out in the house with BF Ben, and all of my friends come to see me. They meet Ben, talk about how cute we are, blah blah blah, and give good comments about the show. I asked them if they liked my flying, and they say, "It was nice, but what I really liked was your other song where you did this." NO ONE CARED THAT I FLEW AROUND THE THEATER!! They all acted like it was a completely ordinary occurance, and something I did all the time. I was frustrated that no one was impressed. That was it. My friend things that it means I'm trying really hard to impress people, but they don't seem to be interested in all the special things I'm doing. Instead, they're more interested in just me. Which is guess is a nice thought. And I've always wanted to date someone with my name. lol.
  20. The best part about all of this is that it gives an excuse to stop the Albus/Minerva fanfics... *shudder*
  21. Aw, the subtext is so much easier to understand now. How cute is that??
  22. OMG. Can I have your boyfriend? It's only one of the shows I would give my kidney to go see. You'll love it! There's a few songs that weren't in the movie. (In case you didn't know) So you'll have that to look forward to!! HAVE A GREAT TIME!
  23. HAHAH! I was thinking kind of the same thing...
