  1. Hey CONGRATS! Mmmkay?
  2. I'm celebrating that all my classes got cancelled for today!! And the fact that I get to make dinner tonight, and have lots of yummy things I want to try!!
  3. Yes l loved that, "Come let's shorten our lives together!" hahaha. ooooh WBC, you make me giggle with your craziness.
  4. He's from Grey's Anatomy, not Scrubs. I know this, because I live and breathe Grey's Anatomy. He's also my no. 1 TV crush. (And future husband) he just doesn't know it yet... And a groan to Kevin for the bad joke... haha
  5. FUNNY STUFF! Yeah, I didn't realize before that they were all from the same family. Though it makes more sense to think of it that way. You'd almost have to be imbred to believe that garbage. Ah well..
  6. Dan Savage writes Savage Love. My favorite segment of The Onion! He's also from Madison, WI, and worked at the coolest video store on State Street. (Seriously, if you ever need a foreign or artsy movie, that is the place!)
  7. Haha, I was in the college parting lot on Friday, and there were two cars parked next to each other. The first one said "Vote Yes: One Man, One Woman" (It was for the amendment that WI had last year... we lost... But I'll change!) The other one had lots of rainbows and liberal stickers all over it. I couldn't help but wonder if the second guy parked there on purpose....
  8. I have buttons that say this, but I've always wanted shirts that say, "Proud Member of the Immoral Minority" and "Doing my part to piss off the religious right"
  9. That's totally kick-ass. Yay for straight people. I WANT one of those shirts... *grumble8
  10. hmm too bad. I seemed very interesting though!
  11. Um, I watched it, but didn't understand anything besides the snippits of English. But it seemed very emotional. I would have liked to see an English version (If there is such a thing)
  12. Hey, it's totally ok to be nervous!! I was scared as hell for my first campus meeting, but if you stick it out, I promise it'll be worthwhile. I made so many wonderful friends through that organization.... And even though I'm not at that school anymore, we still keep in touch all the time. Go, and have a great time!
  13. Ha! I think I know who'd win that one...
  14. I'm celebrating two things. First of all, my update to An American Wizard at Hogwarts!! AND.... My 200th post!! WOOO!
  15. Oh yeah, when I think of the inability to get married, and discrimination in the workplace, and isolation from family and friends, the first word that comes to mind is "Glamorous". The portrayal is a stereotype, and it's just as harmful as the image of a limp-wristed fairy. To assume that every gay male likes, or even has a knowledge of fashion is rather appalling. That's all I'm going to say on the subject right now, I'm too tired.
  16. I went to University of Wisconsin last year, and they had those shirts. Unfortunately, they sold out before I could get one. Their Safe Zone program was a lot of fun, so I would suggest that you take it up! I'm glad your school has such good resources!! Good luck with school as well!
  17. Oh, that sucks. I hate bad days. Don't worry things will work out!
  18. I'm celebrating the auditon results for my community theatre's production of A Christmas Carol. I'm gonna be playing one of the younger Scrooges. I'm really excited about it! I'm also celebrating that I got all my homework for the weekend done EARLY!
  19. Bastages?? Are you quoting Johnny Dangerously? Because if so, you may be my new best friend. Unless I'm wrong, and then...well, never mind, lol FUNNY video. Creepy as Hell, but funny.
  20. Hmm. I've always thought, (And this has been confirmed by friends.) that I have an excellent Gaydar. Honestly, I've only been wrong once... Thought he was gay, turned out to be straight. It happens. He's one of my best friends, and somedays I still wonder. I can't really explain it. I've always been good at it. Maybe I'm looking for things that I have in common with people. I'm not sure. It's probably all subconscious anyway. But it's fun! Because I'm always right. (well, except for that one time...) I don't know how many times I've had to make the decision for friends. Maybe it's because People-Watching is one of my favorite hobbies... Gaydar is like a game for me! Maybe I need to get out more??
  21. Hey, this is a good topic... Helping me out with Equilibrium. And right now, I need all the help I can get. I've always been a fan of Harry Potter magic, but that really only works in a harry potter type setting.... so I can't use that. D&D magic is awesome. I don't have a whole lot or RPG experience, but I kind of get what you mean. (And someone said MAGE: The Awakening?!?! AHHHH!!!! I'm currently basing a short story off of that my MAGE character... I only got to use him once so far....) I'm also a huge fan of the natural magic/getting it from nature. So, I guess I'll have to keep track of this thread, so see what I can come up with!
  22. wow... everyone's reading a ton of stuff right now... Well, as far as Gay Authors go, I'm not reading much. Still waiting for Tangled Web to get updated, but that's really the only one right now. I've been spending more time trying to write my own stuff. That, and I haven't had a whole lot of time to be on the computer. But I promise I'll get back into that!! As for actual books, I've been trying to keep busy. I read the entire Circle of Magic series (9 books in total) by Tamora Pierce. It's one of my favorite stories. Very in depth, and fun. Harry Potter o' course. Had to finish the 7th, as well as re-read the 4th and 5th books. (The time period that AWAH takes place) Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. All my friends were talking about it, and i finally gave in to peer pressure. It's pretty funny. I've also been keeping up on my plays. Read Death of a Salesman, The Matchmaker, Our Town (BLEH!), and some Shakespeare.
  23. Argh.. I had a bunch of friends go to that... I was so sad that I didn't get to go with. Glad you had fun!!
  24. Ok... I've only been to the ER once. (Knock on wood) I was like 10 years old, and my parents had this stand and a craft sale thingy... I was sitting around with my grandma, and playing with a piece of shredded paper (The kind that come of document shredders) I somehow got distracted in whatever I was reading, and I accidently got the paper balled up and stuck in my ear. I rushed to the bathroom, and tried to get it out, but I only made it worse. so we had to go to the ER, and the doc pulled out this really scary looking chrome knitting needle, and fished it out. I felt really dumb.
