  1. Would a force loom over and enact revenge of those who experienced a little schadenfreude? I doubt it, but inattention, bad lay-out of equipment, poor design, either on their own or combined will end up causing these problems. If this is just you being clumsy, just watch out next time, but sometimes a little improvement may prevent other mishaps that can prove more damageable. And though I hate being laughed at when I trip or fall, this is all perfectly normal. Do not refrain yourself from having a good one next time someone is in an embarrassing position, you might get your turn. So, heal your bruises well!
  2. It looks great. Tim Burton has never made a bad movie anyway. And he launched Depp's career with Edward Scissorhands. (Or rescued him from 21 Jumpstreet, that is) And this duo made one of my favorite movies of all times, Ed Wood.
  3. The nice thing about being a zeta-reader is that you come in last, and no one is going to check when you pull one like this. Mwahahah!
  4. Nice flow of the words (no pun intended), and intense images and feelings.
  5. This is indeed the only plausible explanation.
  6. Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump! Clump!
  7. This chapter ends up with a dilemma, and shows Jon and Eric's poor judgment. They should definitely come clean to Helen, who'd take care of Charity in a few seconds. And I cannot help but thing that said Helen did not get a huge kick out of having the pictures in the tabloids; after Brandon's playing the superhero, here come the bad guys. Having sex with a Senator's daughter and clowning around on a balcony fare higher than driving drunk, for instance. These are good PRs. Obviously, no one thinks they should be outed right now, but I don't see a major difference between this moment and after the first show. Brandon is already the cover boy of Rolling Stone. But hey, where's my cliff-hanger?
  8. Lump all the way. Had he not been a stupid homophobic jerk, Brandon and Chase would have never met.
  9. It's really sad to see that only numbers are mentioned, whereas the friendly tone, the will to share useful information, the taste for developing an awareness of other cultures, the humour, all this is ignored. Post-whorism or postaholism demand that one finds other buddies to share in the vice...
  10. A Happy Birthday to You!
  11. Actually, he pays well and I'm venal. But in the supreme interest of Justice and Truth, I had to go back and take another look. We outpost him in this thread, but for how long? We're in danger, a PW is on the lurk.
  12. It seems my random search that made me (somehow) claim CJames is NOT a lurker was just bad luck, or good luck for him. Ieshwar's figures opened my eyes. And we had disregarded the story :blink:threads, but well... For The Love Poster Posts C James ** 408 (not even a third of the total of 1,554), he slacked off a bit... Bondwriter ** 191 Graeme ** 188 No Shirt? No Problem! Poster Posts C James ** 24 Jack Frost **5 Krista ** 4 (This is his first story, so he was honing his skills as a serial poster, I guess, or felt quite excited about the whole thing, so we may forgive him answering almost each and every post, the total being 56) Let The Music Play, Ch 9: Antici..... pation Poster Posts C James ** 17 (out of 91, low score for the goat!) Benji ** 14 Graeme ** 13 So it seems targeting Ieshwar was wrong, but only a result of bad luck. Sorry, my Mauritian friend, and thanks for giving more interesting data to analyze.
  13. Wow! Talk about some plot! And the way the relationship, the Parade and the financial adventures are woven, this is quite an achievement. I like the way Dennis speaks his mind at the beginning of the chapter, as he did in the previous one. It's like a new story starts with each chapter. And I won't say it too loud so you don't attract too much attention, but there are cliff-hangers at the end of each chapter.
  14. Happy Birthday, WOM!
  15. Is that true? At the same time, in the story threads, it's not unusual for an author to reply, is it? So, you're basically telling me Ieshwar is not the number one poster on this forum?
  16. I must say that a little research made me reconsider my vote. Thanks to the nifty feature pointed by Wildone, if I'm correct, I did a random search in CJames' own forum to find out whether he was a big poster. Here are my findings. I'm a Caprican Poster ** Posts Ieshwar ** 2 EMoe57 ** 2 Graeme ** 2 Great Goat Meat Meals! Poster Posts Bob D. **10 Ieshwar ** 4 Conner ** 3 Interesting Poster ** Posts Ieshwar ** 2 Bob D. ** 1 Trebs ** 1 I'm a Caprican Poster ** Posts Ieshwar ** 2 EMoe57 ** 2 Graeme ** 2 Runoff poll for a name! Poster ** Posts Benji ** 20 The BeaStKid ** 19 TalonRider ** 19 CJames doesn't appear to be in the first three posters of each of these threads, picked up to chance along his forum. So, is the Goat being maligned and falsely accused? Facts don't lie, and they appear to disprove the smearing campaign that even I took part in. Note that Ieshwar's name appears quite a bit, by the way.

    Things come in 3's

Yeah, this sure must be a hard time to go through. Tons of digital hugs.
  18. I hope your prediction is right. They would thus avoid a potential nuclear war, foil a terrorist plot, and make the death of an innocent marsupial worth the utter damage it is. I suspect it is likely to happen. And they would go to Jerry's next fund raiser, and that's how the two plots would end up connected. The more I think about it, the more I agree with your prediction.
  19. Graeme makes a very, very good point here, that has been quite overlooked: lack of sufficient material to study. Once we have a corpus of say, ten novels per writer, maybe we can choose knowingly. So we might postpone the whole thing, and have all of them Princes of C-H until we can eventually decide.
  20. The "yeses" are closing in. The PM system must be brimming with heavy campaigning to rally people to the cause of proving "No" voters wrong. And CJ got a denial buddy. Not very good for the chances of recovery. But blaming it on a computer mistake is a favorite of mine too. They're not too good at addition and subtraction, after all.
  21. Yes, that's interesting to use google. If you click on the first cached page while googling KOEC-H, you'll find out the first person to use the phrase, highlighted in yellow, is... Hey go ahead, check it yourself, but this will obviously be no surprise to anyone. I like Wildone's suggestion. A whole royal family of cliff-hangers lovers. There are quite a few contenders, go figure... And the google search also gives herman from the Jedi Council Forums as a candidate to the title, though he's only a padawan.
  22. This story has a most intriguing narrator, great characters, very evil villains and lots of action. It is, of course, very well written, and should leave you puzzled and wondering what's going to come up next. Nice job, CH.
  23. Never fearing to get some interaction between authors and readers, and to provide proper feedback to the writers, Bondwriter Media Pundit Inc. presents: What the F... does all this mean? You may question the sample, the questions, the weather when this took place, etc. But how can one be the K.O.E.C-H when another has used the worst C-H? Rake your brains and tell me!
  24. Yes, indeed. I actually linked to the Wiki page. Though I've heard recently that most of what's said about him is not true, it is overall a rather likable character. I've always seen him as a 13th century hippie. He also has a big advantage for a saint, this of not dying in utter suffering, being burnt, chopped off or beheaded.
