    Same here. Let voters for "The Herd" know their IP address is recorded, and that the Scar and Dimitri will be assigned to a reeducation task of those "bad" voters. Democracy is good when it gives the good results in the polls.

    Yes, it could work out all right. Though I don't know many rock musicians who actually write music. Nowadays you manage with anything from a tape-recorder to a computer. But writing down a few melodies or lead ins ideas can be done if you've trained with basic high school music background, or learned to sing in the church choir. And what happened to the "Blame It On Shadowgod" policy?

    The way it works here, and I'd assume it's somehow similar in the U.S. system is that money is perceived by a copyright agency (SACEM in France, ASCAP in the US) every time a song is performed live or on the radio, as well as when a record is sold, and the people who own the copyrights get the money afterwards. So if you wrote the lyrics and the music, you get more money than other people in the band. I'll take the blame for this one. I did point out that it was unlikely that Chase would have a clear view of a song by just looking at the notebook with a music sheet, but I overlooked the fact that Brandon had written the song in his seedy hotel room. I agree with what you said, Graeme.

    Though also finding him a bit flawless (see above), I took this as he'd written a few chords and basic tunes on his notebook, not as he has a whole score for an orchestra. And he does have access to musical instruments during the day as a roadie, so he might play around with a guitar or a piano, and then write it down in the evening, as he humbly eats his mustard bread, wondering whether his life of misery is ever going to end.

    Everyday I discover more things about the link between goats and evil deeds of various kinds. Our own goat spends his time blaming it on others, so he must have escaped some lab and vowed to enact a revenge upon all of mankind.

    Agreed. When I read it, I expected Brandon to make some sort of remark. But Lump will be back to get ridiculed. Believe me, you've all seen how accurate my predictions were. Chris? What's going on? Another sign that weird things happen in Arizona (where they have gay-cowboy bars, mind you!) Readers mix the characters of the stories, or maybe they don't read exactly the same story we, normal people from the rest of the world do.

    Yes, Google Ads are hilarious at moments, sometimes advertising the opposite of what the story is about. Is he more perfect than Chris was? We might learn about some flaws later on, but in a thriller, the hero is always perfect. I'm actually thinking of heroines, like in Mary Higgins Clark's novel, in which the lead characters are always perfect twentysomethings, with a brilliant career and amazing looks. So I don't find this too shocking. As for the money issue, I think he makes a point of saying he's gotten some already. Helen is wise in settling matters fast, since six months later, it could become a different issue. By contrast, the villains are downright evil and ruthless. Who thinks Dimitri will get wiped off by the Scar before the end of the story?

    I had thought of one that involved Yuri, pliers, a sledgehammer and a barbecue (and a variety of fun tools used by your neighborhood dentist), but it's a bit expensive to deploy this strategy every week.

    Not at all, this is when the thread gets even more interesting (not that the serious comments that take place for 1 to 3 days after the posting are uninteresting), but these last days before posting when the wildest ideas flow along the uttermost nonsense are really great. You just expect John Cleese dressed as a police constable to appear and say: "Stop! This is getting silly!" As for CJ giving birth with every chapter? He's quite a breeder, isn't he?

    I'm highly surprised by this result. The most surprising one after I took this test --thanks Bard for having me spend one hour with useless stuff! -- is: :What do you think of your friends? As I took it by filling with friends AND acquaintances' names, some results were weird. Others were strangely accurate.

May Day At the end of this one, Sharon's info is confirmed (not that I would doubt a Goddess anyway): Labour Day Nothing is said about "Driving Daughters Back To College Day", which appears to be a Maryland-only custom.

    I don't think you did (In fact, I think you didn't). Well, another one for you: Have a look through the threads in The Lounge and the Teen Forum, and you'll notice these topics were already tackled, though no definitive truth was agreed upon. I don't think there is a media conspiracy to get people attracted to same-sex partners. But feel free to express yourself, that's what this is for.

    Other factors that were discussed already: Soy Genetics The Teletubbies... And there must be tons more in the Teen forum, among which this lengthy discussion. Personally, though my teen years were busy with the type of questions you're asking, I decided a solid decade ago that if someone could tell me why I was gay had become irrelevant. I am like I am, and I just have to live with it (as I won't change my complexion, my height, my ethnic background, my social background) and there are no people to blame for me being gay. People to blame for making me feel bad about it, yes, but that's yet another ball game.

    I think Eric is the name of the teddy-rabbit CJ had as a kidd (goats do not have the same toys as humans do), like Rosebud for C.F. Kane. (One of my first crushes' name was Eric, but I don't see CJames use his old loves for names. )

    Ieshwar, Labor Day on the 1st of May is widespread throughout the world, but for some historical reason some will certainly explain, it takes place on the 1st Monday of September in the U.S. In this strange land, you will also notice the locals have alternative spelling from the British English you're taught. color VS. colour neighbor VS. neighbour harbor VS. harbour and so on, and so on (they say sidewalk instead of pavement, truck instead of lorry...) Oh, and by the way, happy Labor Day, especially if it's an idle one!

    Now that he (it?) knows what we can do, please express your demands for the next stories by CJ. There are quite a few incentives; just let him know you've chosen the Goldie's Goat Steak way, or the Southwest Leg of Goat. He'll comply. Personally, I'd like nine more chapters before Brandon and Chase kiss. Lots of quid pro quos, and possibly mixing their romance with the nuclear bomb, so that when they kiss, they are abruptly interrupted by having to save the world.
