  1. HAPPY NEW YEAR CJ and all
  2. Hahahaha another "Non" cliffhanger
  3. Jeez! All this flap about cliffhangers... CJ yr the goat and they go hand in hand with Cliff-hanging and far from being a thing to be ashamed of or something to run from... Mate you should embrace it.( though I think that maybe you already do LOL ) It takes a very special kind of writer to lead his or her readers to a point of concern at where the plot is leading and leave them wanting more........ Your the man mate!! You rock and should win the cliffy award....
  4. He uses Aussie math ROFLMAO
  5. Sort of good shocks for Trevor but a bad one for Lisa. Got to say that it was sort of expected though. Maybe all of Brigits chickens are finally starting to come home to roost. Hoping that the navy is on the ball and checking out the signal being emitted from Kookaburra or at least reporting it to Kalbarri cops Great chapter CJ
  6. Point Peron and Garden Island hold lots of childhood memories for me but of course the security is a lot steeper since the building of the naval base and causeway. There used to be a sand bar across from Point Peron to the Island and most folks could walk/swim across. A nice safe place to have Kookaburra moored. Looking forwards to the reunion in Perth.
  7. As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: American King James Version. A very old observation of the human condition
  8. Here's one for you... http://www.watoday.com.au/national/it-was-huge-dog-walker-attacked-by-kangaroo-20111019-1m79j.html
  9. Capretto yum yum! but old goat slow... slow... cooked can be delicious
  10. You know that the devil is in the details and you know we all love the devil The "deal with the devil" is that we get to have all the DETAILS so you can't back out now LOL Mate you can't give in to the "quick fix". This story ROCKS! and those who think that the characterisation is too much obviously dont read a lot Keep up the fantastic work mate :worship:
  11. I had a chuckle at the thought of a "deadly" perentie attacking someone... They are extremely quick on the run but let me assure you it's almost always in the opposite direction to humans. They are like most of the other animals in Oz... Completely afraid of the worlds greatest predator, Homo Sapiens. The coast of West Aus has a very nasty but beautiful little octopus that is pretty dangerous though. Where I live the funnel web spider is common and it is VERY agressive. Its fangs have been known to pierce boot leather. I'll have to avoid the two echidnas that live in my front yard from now on... I might get electrocuted ROFL Home sweet home
  12. It's all in the way you look at it... In OZ we're really on top, it's the rest of the world thats upsidedown
  13. Great chapter CJ The boys get together FINALLY!! Hmmm... Shelly and her Key Lime Pies again?? I wonder why Trevor likes that name so much?? Looking forwards to more... more more
  14. Does Robbie the Robot make a guest appearance in the next chapter? or is that 'forbidden?" LOL
  15. Yeah!!! It just getts better and better. Cossack is a wonderful ghost town and Shanes story had me in stitches. I worked at Wickham for a year and visited Cossack often. LOL Low Flyer, you only have to go down the end of my street to see kangaroos most days... Though they're only greys. They tend to hang out where the food is the most plentiful and unfortunately the Nullarbor is pretty barren and daytime is not the most common time to see them (early mornings and at dusk is best) Hope that Joel and Lisa can muck up Bridgets plans but will she get wind of it before they can do it??
  16. Australia actually doesn't celebrate a thanksgiving day but google does have some wierd facts sometimes I thought that the time frame for Trevor might be right for "U.S. thanksgiving" (Thought it was in November) and LOL No we all shouldn't know it's a thursday. We dont celebrate american holidays here
  17. I'm wondering two things.. Does Martin live in Northam? He certainly reacted when Trevor mentioned the town and I'm Australian so not too sure on the date of "Thanksgiving" but could the meal be for that?? This story just gets better and better
  18. The mid western Coast of Australia is a known drug drop off point so it's not surprising that Atlantis was searched pretty thoroughly. I wouldn't be surprised if there is some sort of weapons aboard Kookaburra (Spear guns, smokies, and gaffs for fishing etc) This story just gets better and better Now we just need to see Bridget and Co come to an extremely sticky end LOL but can't see that happening for a while yet.
  19. The timber fascine along the Gascoyne River in Carnarvon was built by settlers in 1910 and completed in 1925. The fascine (timber retaining wall) is only one of two fascines in the world and was built to prevent erosion of the river banks during floods There's a pic here: http://www.westaustralianvista.com/carnarvon.html oops how did that happen??? :$
  20. C'mon you guys! Vegemite is the food of the Gods! Firm, tasty, maluable and so so versatile and dont we wish other things were like that LOL . With cheese, tomato and chilli on crackers accompanied by an ice cold beer.... Heaven!! Lots of vutamin B12 too, so very good for you!
  21. Hope ur better soon mate
  22. Loved this chapter. So good to see the customs guys as they really are... Here in oz they are sometimes demonized but they do a fantastic job dealing with the longest coastline in the world (for one country). Carnarvon is a great town and Trevor will enjoy it!
  23. Have read all CJames' stories and enjoyed them all over the years Coming from Margaret River,(Just north of Cape Leeuwin)in Western Australia I can certainly relate to the heavy seas senario. The Australian navy has done lots of rescues in those treacherous waters so lets hope Trevors' note gets to someone. Once again CJames, A very enjoyable read, lots of suspense and drama "bravo"
