  1. I've decided against it, and I'll wait 'til ITFB is finished. Of course, that is reliant on how much self-control I have. I wouldn't bet on me lasting until the last chapter of ITFB is published. However, I would like to say that I think it's great that Dom is visiting his old stories and bringing back old characters.
  2. I'm trying to decide if I want to start reading this, or just wait 'til ITFB is finished.
  3. Just curious, is the first chapter of ITFB that Dom has written since he came back? I know that there were a few chapters that weren't published when Dom was absent. I was wondering if this chapter was one of them.
  4. I agree. When I first started reading it, I noticed that it read differently. Not that that detracted from the story. I was kinda thrown off for a bit, but got into the hang of things as the story progressed. Love Travis & Dennis. And Nicky's back!
  5. I am a horny dog who likes to conquer hedgehogs. ... Talk about prickly sex.
  6. I don't know if you're joking, but I strongly disagree (1) with what you said. Got a 62, by the way. Is it considered naive to have faith/trust in people? I think not. It could certainly be argued that those who have a constant distrust of others are the naive ones.
  7. M A L I B R A N Molly angrily lifted Ingrid's baby rat and neighed. S A M S U N G S
  8. I will admit that the only reason I clicked on your story was because of the title. "The Log Way?" I thought. "Odd title." When there are no summaries to be had (like on Nifty) a title is uber-important. Sure, a story may have a crap title and good writing, but I wouldn't know about the good writing since I won't be clicking every single title to read the first few words of the story. As a general rule, I don't click on titles that I feel are too cliche. I understand that many of the gay-themed stories online deal with romance and whatnot, but what I do not understand is why many authors feel it's necessary to include titles that infer such a thing. Like, for example, (and I'll be using a Dom example. Sorry ) 'The Other Side of Me'. Had I not read other DomLuka stories before I came across this one, I would never have clicked on it. I like quirky titles. 'In the Fish Bowl' is a good example of one.
  9. Same here. It's gotten to the point where, if I'm reading about anyone else other than Dennis or Travis, I get annoyed. Granted, I would like Aiden & Owen to get back together, but they've had their time in the spotlight. Now it's Dennis' and Travis' turn.
  10. A song from a movie that I saw recently called 'Were the World Mine'. I didn't end up liking the movie, just the music in it (and the guys ). Regardless, this song which, oddly enough, takes most of its lyrics from Shakespeare, could be my gay anthem. Oh, and ignore the lady singing. She's annoying. The guy singing is much better.
  11. You wait. It'll come. Of course, you have to be open to it. You can't be a recluse and expect to still have a love life.
  12. While 'f**king' would imply that who ever 'f**ked' who was the top, I've heard many people use the word in reference to the act of sex. Like, someone would say, "Oh, I'd f**k him." but still be a total bottom. But, anyways, I think in the most recent chapters, there has been evidence that they're versatile. I'm too lazy to look up the textual evidence, however.
  13. James Franco = HOT. He goes to my school and every day, I resist the temptation to just camp out in front of one of the school buildings and stalk him.
  14. Saw the short-film version of this one a year ago, and wasn't too impressed by it. But I'm looking forward to this one. I'll be seeing it this weekend, hopefully.
  15. Aah, Dumbledore. Michael Gambon will never be as good as Richard Harris, IMO. Gambon completely ruined the movie version of Dumbledore. Well, you can never be sure with trailers. I've come to realize that a lot of the scenes that are included in trailers don't end up being in the theatrical version. Instead, you'll find those scenes in the Deleted Scenes section of the DVD.
  16. I've come to realize that too. Foreign gay-themed films are generally much better than films made in the U.S. And thanks for the suggestions, guys. Latter Days...Didn't like it. Saw only a few minutes and the wooden acting was enough to turn me off. Saw a little of Dante's Cove. Again, the acting was terrible. I've got 'Plata Quemada' and 'La Mala Educaci
  17. I was sooooooooo excited for Shelter, and couldn't wait for the DVD to come out...So I went found a website that had a pirated version. Haha. I was disappointed. Sure, the guys were hot, but beyond that, there was nothing about the movie that stood out. Below mediocre, I'd say.
  18. This movie will be the first of Star Trek that I will see. Not much of a Star Trek fan, but JJ Abrams has never disappointed me (LOST!). Looking forward to seeing this movie. Plus, Chris Pine as Captain Kirk = HOT.
  19. Actually, in the HBP movie, there's a scene in which Hermione, Ron, and Harry are discussing his decision to go after Voldemort. You can see it very briefly in the trailer (or, at least, hear it). Hermione says to Harry, "You can't do this alone." or something to that effect. I'm assuming that's in response to Harry's insistence on going after Voldemort. The only thing I'm angry about is that they pushed back the movie to next year. I understand that they want to make money, but seriously? I could do w/o all the hullabaloo over the dreadfully-written Twilight.
  20. IMO, the trailer looks awesome and this movie will be awesome. What needs to be realized is that movies and books are two completely different mediums through which a story can be expressed. People need to stop comparing between books and movies, because almost always, they will end up differently. To expect that they won't is only setting yourself up for major disappointment. Certain things can work in books that can't work in movies, and vice versa. And so what if they decide to split the seventh book in half? IMO, it should already be a given that the studios are out to make money. And, to be honest, people ARE going to see both movies. And, each time, people will come out having had a good time. So there really is no big deal. Treat both the books and the movies as two separate things. Some things will get lost in the translation over to a new medium. It's to be expected. Enjoy both for what they are, and don't waste your time getting pissed off over something that's not worth it.
  21. Meh. I wish Dennis and Travis would stop not caring, and actually caring for things...Like each other. Seems like it's headed that way though. Which has me excited. Great chapter, Dom.
  22. I've tried reading TLW, but after reading ITFB, I can't seem to start. I've gotten used to the nice Dennis in ITFB, (and I really like the nice Dennis) that I can't read about him in TLW, since he's so different.
  23. I missed the Dennis/Travis dynamic. It's good to be able to read about them again. I <3 Dom.
  24. ISWB is one of my favorite stories on the web. Thank you Dan for starting it. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace.
