  1. A picture of me that I actually don't hate. I'm second from the left.
  2. I thought I would share this disturbing take on Santa. If you think about it, it's all true. http://vimeo.com/8234515
  3. Every year Lexington KY does a Thrill reenactment around Halloween. It's a lot of fun. Anyone is welcome to participate, with dance studios teaching the dance routine to anyone who is interested.
  4. Very entertaining, did you ever get the hang of the showers? The big bath is for after the shower. You're supposed to soak and relax in it, not bathe in it. I made that mistake when I was there, not fun.
  5. 100% first try I did something like this way back when in a psyc class in college. It's amazing how you see one thing but the brain interprets it in another way.
  6. I would have to disagree with MikeL. When I went to Japan for school I found that they were extremely nice and friendly. Everyone was most helpful even when I didn't know what I was doing. At first I thought it might be a regional thing, we were presenting some work to a school in a fairly rural area (Yatsushiro), but even when we got to Tokyo everyone was very pleasant. I think it will just take some time to acclimate to your new surroundings and cultural differences. Speaking of which, have you been to any of the hot springs yet? One of the greatest parts of the trip, worth a visit.
  7. Speedos have their place. I personally don't mind anyone wearing one while working out, swimming laps. I wear mine when I go to the gym to swim. It's when you get into the recreational use that I start to have a problem. It just seems wrong to me. Even the really hot guys just don't seem right when they're at the beach in a speedo.
  8. I would have to say that this weekend was a blast! Saturday I volunteered at the Pride Festival here, and boy was it HOT (in more ways than one). Saturday evening I attended the Red party. It's a party that takes place in downtown Lexington KY on the old courthouse grounds (ironically this area just happens to be the same place as the old slave market). It was great to see everyone passing by on the street and just come have a good time, straight or gay. Hit the bars after and met a really nice guy. Went out with him Sunday and, well, I am typing this after just getting home, Monday morning. All in all, a good weekend.
  9. I don't thin that I have laughed sooo much in a long time! I think I may have wet myself.
  10. As promised, here are some pics of this years costume. I did find one from the year that I went as a Jackson Pollock painting. As you can see, it was late in the night and I had started to come apart. Hey there was lots of vodka involved. What can I say.
  11. When you turn it back on, do you get three short beeps or one long and two short? Here is a link that you might want to look at to see if you can fix the problem. http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm
  12. Every year the School of Architecture at the University of Kentucky (where I got my Architecture degree) puts on a fundraiser, to support some local charities, called the Beaux Arts Ball, a huge costume part that draws in quite a crowd of peoples. Most of which are scantily clad. I
  13. I know everyone has been talking about the weather in the UK but I thought I would show some pics of what happened here in the US, Kentucky to be exact. This was taken just outside my office. It may not look like much snow but there is about two inches of ice under all of it (hence the trees falling down). http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z168/sp...dehan/Snow1.gif
  14. Are we sure this is Shadowgods home? I mean, if you look really close you can start to make out some details... And here's a closeup.
  15. Love this show! I do think that there is a possibility that there haven't been any new powers manifested (Mohinder's being artificially created). Do we know for sure that that is REALLY Nikki? Didn't she have a twin that "died" at a young age? I guess we'll just have to watch to find out.
  16. Chapter 5 of Dreams of a Father is now up...can't wait to finish it!
  17. The flights are long (about thirteen hours from the states to Japan) but well worth the exhaustion. The trick is to sleep as little as possible the week beforehand so that you nap the whole flight there, or take muscle relaxants. I really want to go back. The last trip was mostly presentations and work with just a little time to sightsee. Other places I
  18. Very pretty Jaci!
  19. Great story Dan, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Can
  20. Demetz, Good suggestion. I went the way I did because I wanted to go with the idea of the dreams fathers have for their children. Personally, I think the two biggest dreams any father has for their child are for them to be happy and to be dependent, to be able to take care of, and support themselves any future family. I drew the father throwing his son in the air for two reasons. One, to show this idea of independence, letting the child go and allowing him to
  21. I thought something like this would go with the motif. If you, or anyone else, has any suggestions for changes don
  22. OH, what the hell... My first post might as well be a picture.
