  1. Someone commented in the first act how all chapters are song names and I now can’t unhear them. Don’t really want to either as I find myself singing way too much Disney and broadway to myself (my housemates are staring). All of the song choices are a great “touch-a” and makes the reading journey even more humorous. Thanks for that detail!
  2. I’m surprised that 14 years after initial posting I’m the first to write a review. I’m not a good commenter, but I had to share my opinion this piece has a bit of everything a great story should provide. Characters that endear you, humor that has you laughing in an empty room, steamy bits that make you shift in your seat blushing, and warm fuzzies you may or may not want to admit to catching. While this is the middle child of the Confounded series, it should not be underestimated as it’s an outstanding story.

    Epilogue

Like Paladin, I was privileged to binge the entire piece without breaks. I was so surprised by the impressive continuity despite the time break. Marks of a great author. This was so wonderful! Thanks for sharing such genuine and hilarious characters!

    Chapter 23

Even after 6 books, I’m still team Andy.
  5. Like Buz above, I binged the entire Bridgemont series to date in one sitting. I could not bring myself to comment on each chapter because I was too busy hitting “next”. Granger has taken over my life! I’m in love with this story. Each step of the journey is satisfying and I relish embracing historical fiction. It may just be all due to the expert crafting of Mr. Arbour in developing gripping characters. And not gonna lie, but you’re gonna get an education. 😳 Thank goodness for Google… I haven’t dipped into CAP yet, but that’s only because I need to rest my eyes; everything is worth reading and I know I’ll enjoy the ride. Excellent series and thank you, Mark Arbour, for continuing to share them with us!

    Chapter 20

I realize it’s two years after publishing, but I have to throw out there that this was indeed a traumatic read! I couldn’t handle the level of tension being woven. I had to read this chapter twice because, like during the best suspense/horror stories, I think I closed my eyes a little...hmmm, I guess I really only read it once then….Excellent work! I’m glad I can binge read this because a week’s wait might have proved hazardous to my health. 😰😳
