I have to admit I only read the first paragraph and I was so angered, I had to stop. You should probably not reply in an attacking manner, just state what's wrong with the article, maybe not even mention that you're gay, just pointing out where he's wrong and why. Ehm, if everybody was gay there wouldn't be children so god hates homosexuals? If everybody was a monk or a nun there wouldn't be children, so he hates the people who vowed to serve him because they won't reproduce? Monks and Nuns are detroying the earth? Come on! I was wondering if they are even allowed to publish anything like that because this is not only stating an opinion but...you know, that's discrimination and stating of wrong facts. You could probably just have it removed or at least make them print your version (if you lived where I lived...). Why don't you publish a rough draft of your letter here? Or if that's too borderline politic for this forum, you could just send it to me and I'll go through it for you (I'll even read the whole article before, I hope I won't pop a vein)

[DomLuka] D*mn British Influence!
Liddy replied to NaperVic's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
My English teacher used to do that to me, too, but I'm one of those militant students :2hands: and kept aruguing with him because he told me we were learing Queens-English in our class and how I couldn't use the US-spelling (even though it's perfectly fine, the dictionary says so ) he even startet to correct my pron(o?)unciation (I spent some time in the US, so that's how it sounded) in several words. Like schedule (I still avoid that word) or advertisment. Luckily for me (and his nerves) I got another, more tolerant Eglish teacher a year later. I think it was still a traumatizing experience. This reminds me of this book I read. The goverment scratches the word freedom so the people wouldn't be able to express what they longed for. Scary. Gay to be gay ? (another one is ass. I remember when they banned a fairytale from the library in the US because it had ass in it's title. Not as an insult.) -
[DomLuka] Books or Internet Fiction?
Liddy replied to Liddy's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
I hate having chosen the wrong book! And as I said - I can't just stop reading because maybe, through some miracle, itll have a twist and turn out to be good, and I would have missed it! I also like that I can give the authors my feedback and they usually actually care. I've never written a letter to an author who published a book, but I've written several e-mails to authors that published their stories over the net. They always reply and tell you their grateful for your "two cents", I don't think an author that published a book would reply (if they even read it of course I've never written to one so I wouldn't know - do any of you know?) -
[DomLuka] D*mn British Influence!
Liddy replied to NaperVic's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
I think this is the fifth discussion on British/Australian/Canadian/US-American spelling that I came across during my short membership at gayauthors. Whatever happened to open mindedness and tolerance? Let's embrace the other spelling as a broadening of our horizons, note it as a different cultural influence - different but not nececairly wrong. (I think we really need Dom to post another chapter so we'll have more to discuss then spelling . I know I'm spoiling your fun ) -
I was thinking about why I like internet stories better then books and was wondering what you think: This is how I pick out a book: - I read a little from the first page, to see if the story grabs me - I read something from the middle to see if I like the author's style - I read the last few sentences to find out if the protagonist survives the book (if he doesn't it's allright, I just need to know) So I'm very carful whenever I pick out a book because I don't like not to finish reading it, with stories I don't have that problem, don't know why. When I get a book I get very involved in it, I'm the type that laughs out loud if something is funny and - I admit it- sometimes a book will make me cry. I hate when I'm close to the end of a book and can see it from how many pages are left. It makes me sad and I keep wondering what's going to happen on these last pages. And sometimes there are too many pages left and you know there is something else coming up. Internet fiction doesn't do that to you (the worrying I mean, the laughing and crying- definitly, but we're in a Domaholic forum, so you already knew that), even though whenever I suspect a story will be finished soon I always skip to the end of the chapter to see if there's a big 'THE END'. But that's not the main reason I like it better. Have you ever read a book and when you closed it you had the feeling you knew the protagonists and then when you closed it (and this might sound very drastic) it's kind of like you lost a friend? Internet stroies don't do that to you! The characters are only on vacation and you can always bug the author for a sequel and sometimes he might even agree that there is the need for a sequel, or he just likes the characters as much as you do and wants them to "live on" in other stories.

Wow! You have a life like a story! Sounds like you're really happy My 5 thigs (and it's only noon here) 1) My mom I called her yesterday and I know that she'd rather have me close-by but she's still supporting me to move even further away. 2) Light I went out with my coach's dog yesterday night and even though I live in a city it was awfully dark down by the creek. Usually I like experiences like that, but I was alone and this is not the safest part of town. 3) The dog because he was with me in the dark. Even though without him I wouldn't have been there in the first place. Did I mention he is huge? Everybody would think twice about attacking anybody with such a dog. 4) My coach's husband's brother who lives in the same house and drops in from time to time to check if everything is allright. He lives next to the entrance, so its like having an additional watchdog, he's a security guard. He is fun and isn't hard to look at either. 5) Everybody who makes gayauthors possible I really like this place and I imagine that it is a lot of work to keep it up, so I'd like to say thanks to everybody who "adopted" it (and probably rarely get's to hear: 'this is cool' and more often 'something isn't working' Thanks!

I think this is a thing for the A-team. They'll need the support of the fantastic 4 and... Chuck Norris to free Dom of the evil clutch of the phone-boy, who, together with the evil boyfriend (sorry, I know I don't know you and if you're with Dom you're probably a really nice guy, but this is fiction and I need an evil guy and to put up a decent fight against Chuck Norris evil phone-boy (commonly know as cable-guy) needs some help) they plotted against all the faithful Domaholics in order to make them loose their minds. That means they won't function on their jobs and since everybody knows that Domaholics are the most intelligent people in the world they work in the most important positions in the world. This is an evil plot to take over the world (and for evil boyfriend it's fun, too. He gets SuperDom/LifeguardDom/ConstructionWorkerDom, but that's just a bonus). Of course only disabling the Domaholics wouldn't secure world-power, let's face it, we're not THAT many (even if we should be...). So the second part of the plan is to keep Dom from posting for as long as possible so that as many newbies as possible will join the gayauthors forum. The server will be hopelessly overworked and of course...will crash  . Then many many gayauthors addicts will go crazy and there will be herds (or capricorns?) of confused forum users wandering around aimlessly. Of course Domaholics aren't that stupid, so only few, less careful and very desperate individuals have recently joined the Dom forum ( ). The rest is careful to post as little as possible and are restraining their curiosity and sacrifising their sanity to keep the server going and therefore insure the safety of fellow gayauthor addicts. This is true heroism. But there is hope! Keep the faith, we've got the A-team, Fantastic 4 and...Chuck Norris! And we won't give up without a fight! :sword: :2hands: :mace: :pickaxe: :ranger:

I read one of Dom's stories (can't remember which) that had a link to his place on gayauthors and I think he mentioned something about having more chapters up here so I took a look at his page. For a long time I was a monogamous domaholic anonymous. Then I joined the forum and followed some of the links in the member's signatures. I poke my head out of Dom's forum every once in a while and realized that he's not the only good author around here, I'll do more exploring. Thanks to everybody that's making this possible.

DON'T HE'S LUKE'S, REMEMBER? (Pain, especially now that he has the sexy new avatar ) -
I'm kind of back to worrying, too. I mean, it takes less time to install a phone line in a third-world djungle...Has anybody heard from him again? Or maybe he IS alright and I just missed the threat that says he is? Like the one time he posted a chapter in his blog (and I didn't kdiscover it for a while...) you'd tell me if there was news right?

I tried cardamon ice-cream once and I really liked it. If it's not called cardamon in Eglish at least in German it is. Congrats on your first German word (if it is your first. Is it?)! Kardamon. Very important.

Aww, somebody that understands me (don't know if that's a good sign thought ) -
It is cool!!!(if you're a bit...weird). Its a computer game based on role-play gaming (is that the right word?) and you get to run around and solve quests with your group but it all has a "bigger plot" then that. Its like being the protagonist of your own book! Things I'm grateful for today: 1) Pain killers! be glad if your a guy and don't have any of these problems 2) Courtains I moved in with my coach and I din't get that the reason the room didn't have curtains was that it had shutters. Those old-fashioned ones outside the windows? Its an old house (in southern Germany) and I didn't notice them until a friend of mine looked out of the window and was like "you said you didn't sleep well tonight because it was very light in your room? Maybe you should've closed these!" Smartass 3) Woolen socks-shoe-hybrids So cuddly and keep my feet so warm 4) Tea even without cardamon (isn't that a spice you put in cookies on christmas? I didn't know you can put it in tea. I've got to try it sometime) 5) Wireless-Lan I can now sit in the living-room with my laptop. Or in the kitchen with my laptop. Or in the bed-room with my laptop. Or in ...

Nice how just one little accident can change your perception of what's valuable. This is the first time I've ever heard anybody liking it. Ever. (And it really IS a fun game) My 5 things I'm grateful for today: 1) My coach She's letting me use her appartment while she's gone and I'll dog-sit for her. This is very convienient because I'm giving up my room and it gives me time to move everything. 2) P

LIKE the new avatar Kevin. I was wondering what Kash meant, but then I cleaned my cache and there it was...nice. Gives you a whole different look *lol* As to why I read gay stories...I've been wondering the same thing for a while, alsmost justifies the starting of another topic I think. I usually skip over the sex scenes, except for if they are well-written, but I have to admit that the image of two guys together without any female intruding (that isn't me) is hot (well, if the guys are hot). This leads me to my second point. I'm posessive. I admit it. I hate the thought of a hot protagonist with another girl, I don't mind other guys, don't know why. Maybe because if he's gay he's out of reach anyways. Scratch that, that's irrational, seeing that he "lives" in a story he's out of reach either way. For me what Kash said is also very true. Its another world that I'll never get to know, of course it makes me curious. Also (and this might be the main reason) have you ever tried reading straight love-stories? They are so full of stereotypes it isn't even funny. Whenever I read about a male/female couple I get so annoyed because men and women are pressed into gender-roles that just don't apply for me anymore. In gay stories relationships are (usually) more about the partners and their character and less about what is expected of them based on their gender. Does that make sense? An example: He wants to do something romantic for her (which is rare in itself and he probably only does it because he thinks she expects it) ergo he buys her a red rose, because women like roses and roses are romantic, right? For some they might be, for others they are stereotype, unpersonal and corny. He tries to do something romantic for him, ergo he thinks about what HE might like and prepares that for him. Now THAT'S cute. But it's cool that everybody here is so accepting. A reason why I hadn't joined earlier was that I felt as a woman I didn't have any buisness being here (I even thought about signing on as a guy, but I'm too honest a person to do that.) -
I didn't realize it was a different site until today, because it looks so similar. I posted a new chapter on this site but I'm behind on posting. Is the read count put together with one from the e-fiction site? Or is it an entirely different site and just looks (incredably) similar?

[DomLuka] Least Favorite DomLuka Character
Liddy replied to Menzoberranzen's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
Actually, the times he acts like an asshole is when I like him best, makes him more human. In ITFB there is a scene where I particularly like him, that's where he admits that he feels pressured being Owen's second boyfriend. I mean, in a way it is sweet that he wants his boyfriend to be absolutely sure that he wants him, but to me that shows that his self-confidence isn't always real. But hey, as I said, I understand that not everybody can be self-confident all the time and everybody does things that they'll regret later. Let's hope he realizes that soon and get Owen back (if he'll let him and isn't buisy doing the deed with Travis ) Wainting for your choice Kash -
I know its still another 30min until I have another day, but I already have so many things to be grateful for, so I thought I'd share: 1) My sister (again) because she made her husband correct my spanish paper (again for finals) even thought they have been pretty buisy lately 2) My sister's husband because he corrected my paper without complaining and even told me he thought it was interesting 3) Baldur's gate because its a fun game 4) Time that I had to play Computer games, even though there are more finals soon. I guess I have to be grateful for my self-disipline 5) Ieshwar (congratulations by the way) because you reminded me that I still have chocolate and that it is a good time to eat it now *munchmunch*(so I had two luxury-food experiences, well three, if you count coffee)

Kyle runs in and yells "STOP!", before saying their vows, he claims Travis as his man! Reilly once again transforms himself into super-leatherpants-Reilly, gives Dennis a puff of his inhaler to get him of the drugs that Travis slipped him to make him marry him. Thogether they run to the bedroom to celebrate their re-unification with Valentine guarding the door. *Rrrrrr* Valentine says. Are there even any of the guys left? I feel bad now, didn't mean to drive anybody away rah. I'm a monster -
Hm. All these comments made me think of the mayor of Berlin we have in Germany. He had this big coming out and there was a real hype around him but after a while everything quietened down and now he's just the mayor (who to some people is great and to some is incapable). He isn't even the only one, the mayor of Hamburg (third biggest city and like Berlin is a city and a state) is also gay. They are old, they are average and they are boring. And that gives me hope, not the glam-teen that I don't even know is real. I'm not saying that everything is candy here either, but I think it's a start and I like that.

1) Coffee it is such a wonderful thing and even though I have a coffee-machine for over two-years now it reminds me of the time I didn't have one(that I didn't have a coffee-machine wasn't the only thing wrong with those times) and it's just a small luxury that I feel gratefull for 2) Having to get up early I know it sounds like a contradiction but I had to get up earlier today then usual to take an exam. It just makes me feel as if the day is still young (well, it's almost four pm so I guess it isn't) and as if I had so much time on my hands. 3) My sister I talked to her on the phone yesterday and I really miss her. It's also possible that I won't see her for a long time so I feel greatful for having her. 4) My English I spend one year in an English-speaking country and the exam I took today was an English exam. Many of the people in my class don't have that advantage so I don't really have to try too hard to get good grades. 5) Sweet-corn I love sweet corn and I had a can of it sitting in my cupboard for a while now but was waiting for the right moment to eat it. I was really looking forward to it, so today it was finally time to enjoy it. Love it. I can only list 5 right? I guess I'm a happy person and greatful for a lot of things. 6) I'm gratful for this topic because I hope it makes people who don't feel too good right now realize that there IS a lot to love and feel good about in this world Thanks Kevin

After Kash found out that Dennis is obviously the top in their... watever it is... Dennis finally admits that he has been deeply in love with Reilly for a while. Of course Reilly is happy to have a sexy jock like Dennis and finds out that deep inside him Dennis is as fluffy as a kitten. They cuddle and make till... well I guess till Nazi-Dom returns and gets somebody to beat up Reilly and break his glasses every coin has two sides -
I have! (And he enjoyed it, trust me ) I have never believed that Bill from Tokio Hotel was straight (haha, who's Bill from Tokio Hotel? Google!)
