    Chapter 21

Thank you for the recent flurry of comments on Lone Wolf Ranch which have prompted me to re-read this story - looking forward to its continuation in whatever form takes the Author's fancy.
  2. email from Mike Arram: Metamorphoses is 23 chapters, and it uses AiD characters allowing me to update the lives of those Sudmesten kids, and their offspring.
  3. Technically after the great uprising of the avian people in chapter 37 (the first chapter of part 2 of The Fall - revised version) - a new world order on Earth, with characters from Alike in Dignity - now older - and Bolo has a son ...
  4. Chapter 1 - paragraph 2 - The clairvoyant had been clear: this tower belonged to his fated mate, and he lived on the top of it, like a king among humans, superior in every way. Underline added for emphasis - Ryder is trying to get into Pembroke tower - but Danny (aka Average Joe) may still be superior in every way?

    Chapter 4

My grandfather served in Gallipoli and Palestine and survived, his younger brother served in France and did not - missing presumed dead - his name is inscribed on the Australian War Memorial at Villers Bretonneux - I understand the Commonwealth War Graves Commission cares for graves and cemeteries in 2945 locations across France

    The Sea, Pt. 2

So many unknowns - how large is the planet - how large is the moon - how close - does it rotate - is it like our "special case of tidal locking called synchronous rotation" (internet search - no prior knowledge) - 10 days to orbit - dragging the sea with it - would the moon be visible at all when all the water has been dragged to the other "side" of the planet (or wherever it goes) - just asking I suppose a diagram would be like a ten pointed star with a cone of influence from the moon to the planet - animated 3D?

    The Sea, Pt. 2

From earlier points in the story it is evident that the great force of the roaming sea would not only wipe away any markers left by earlier vanguards but also continually reshape the bottom, moving loose material around, creating new hills and valleys, wearing away at old rock so that even those massive outcrops do not look the same - which is why the compass is so important - are there not other stars in the night sky to guide them?
  9. From Mike's email: "The new one is 22 chapters, so it'll take you past Christmas at two chapters a week. The cast yet to occur include Tobias the Seraph, Jonas Niemand and Karl Wollherz, as well as the titular Posh Boy and Dead Boy".

    Chapter 5

First kiss - but also read dkstories short story - The Conversation - for an alternative opportunity on the train to Hogwarts
  11. This is my second reading of this story - back again to respond to each chapter - and maybe comment

    Epilogue

It has been quite a while since I read any of the Pern stories - I have just 9 of the first ten in the order written - [1] Dragonflight (1968), [2] Dragonquest (1971), [3] Dragonsong (1976), [4] Dragonsinger: Harper of Pern (1977), [5] The Smallest Dragonboy, in: Get Off The Unicorn (1977), [6] The White Dragon (1978), [7] Dragondrums (1979), [8] Moreta: Dragonlady Of Pern (1983), [10] Dragonsdawn (1988) - paperbacks on the bookshelf behind me as I type - this story builds dramatically as the threat of Thread becomes more evident, and then more devastating - the human and dragon toll in fighting during this Pass is emotional at the end - all through the eyes of a somewhat reluctant rider finding his place and his love - thank you for writing

    Chapter 15

In chapter 2 there is reference to a Seamount seen on the sonar - a large grey lump - that took some time for their ship to pass over - of interest because the orx often feed near them. What else is known? Bzup-kind could be living undetected in such?

    Chapter 5

Old Earth, as we know it, is approx 70% ocean too

    Chapter 3

Referring to Marksman, Nico says "Phew. I've been playing this game for a long time, and I've never seen anything quite like this. Must have been some great new stuff in the last update." Who on Benteen has time to write this new code, develop these new places and creatures? Is it just a game, are "they" monitoring when Jem saves Nico?
