Travis! Dafuq?! You petulant little shit. Unless you did that to completely fuck with Dennis’s narcissistic mother, you really stepped in it with Dennis and frankly, Dennis has every right to throttle you. Dennis is perfectly capable of handling his mother. He doesn’t need a hero here. Stop acting like one thinking you’re gonna save the day. Smdh
Who decided there’s criteria? Who decided said criteria? By and large I agree that sexual orientation is def declared but there are some folks who simply weren’t told they’re free to chose what they feel more comfortable with vs appeasing others just to get by. In this story, I think Dennis is a perfect example. I think Owen found himself in somewhat of a similar boat early on in the first book but not so much as he found it harder to conform to social norms and couldn’t resist what he was attracted to anymore than one could stop the sun from rising. Being self declared fits for those who’ve found their footing and backbone to stand up against what society deems normal. If self declared worked for everyone from the beginning there’d be no closet cases. I think it’s much more complicated than that.
Dennis is bi. He just hasn’t accepted. I think what he really needs/ is attracted to but doesn’t realize it is affection and Travis can and is willing to provide. That said, Travis is now a cute petulant little brat. I feel for Ben. Damn if he didn’t try. It was good advice up until the end with Owen and Owen barely registered.
Travis you cheeky little shit. I hope this change of heart for A &O is true. You have some redeeming qualities but I need to see more to change my mind that you’re a petulant little brat
Ok, I’m still not a big Travis fan but I’ve been where he’s at with the fake it to make it game and trauma. Glass house is right. I still think he’ll turn Dennis and I hope Owen and Aiden right the ship.
Ugh Dammit Owen and Aiden neither of you are listening to one another! There’s gonna be a fight again. I half expected Aiden to find Dennis at Owen’s door. Now I don’t know that fight is gonna be between Dennis and is brother or what
I was going to ask at the end of this chapter when I started it wth happened to Allen from the prologue. Hard to believe the older Travis is the same one ask the kid in the prologue but trauma changes ppl. The little progress made on Aiden and Owen is only kindling to a fire already burning. We need something more substantial
Ok I’m thinking Dennis is going to be the one who brings Aiden and Owen back together..but it won’t be easy and without fists thrown. I REALLY don’t like Travis but I think he’s gonna be the one to turn Dennis over into at least being bi. Chris will fix Lacey’s head and get Ryan back with her the way it should be. Of course I’m probably completely totally wrong . Before Aiden talked to Travis I was really getting to be annoyed with him too. BUT that conversation eased that off. I’m still not entirely happy with Aiden for suggesting the break with Owen in the first place however.
Travis…is a little hussy . Not a fan. Cute but no. Definitely missing Aiden and Owen together. Why no explanation is pretty irritating. Same goes for Lacey and Ryan. I mean really? Get over yourselves and stop this mess already. Dennis needs to figure out wth he’s doing.
I half wonder if Dennis’s chip is an act . I half wonder if he wasn’t intimidated into being involved by his older brother with what happened to Ben. It’s all heresy now
I think Chris was right. While Karen supports Aiden and Owen, she doesn’t like giving Aiden up . The missed call from Victor is a gonna bite Owen in the ass.
Hmmm. The wkend get away was very nice. Lots of growth there. As for Karen, I think what she meant was temporary. I think she wants to heal with Aiden and THAT’s what she means . I seriously think she approves of Owen’s and Aiden’s relationship, but the current priority needs to be theirs. I don’t think she’s being selfish so much as I think she’s trying to fix the mistakes she made and to do that he shouldn’t be distracted. What I don’t think is that she thinks he can balance being out and Owen at school and her drama. SHE’s the one who fucked up. She’s the one who needs to make the bigger sacrifices.
Sigh, the ripple effect of abuse affects so many people in the victim’s circle but so few know how to help especially when the victim cannot talk about what happened. Intervention is needed immediately but the knowledge of the abuse to know the exactly what happened can only be shared by the one who’s most damaged by it and when they don’t want to face it or are scared to, often times intervention is too late and the victim takes a permanent solution to a temporary problem. I know this because I was both a victim in one abuse situation and a witness to another’s self destruction before anyone knew anything.
