I get it with Rory. His anger is justified. Is he being immature with how he’s handling it? Sure. But, he’s also 16 and 16 year olds think with two things. Emotions and hormones. Put yourself in his spot. Is he missing some super huge clues? Absolutely but again, his emotions and hormones are dominating his focus. Out of EVERYONE so far, the most mature one is damn dog calling Luke out. So this chapter goes to Chey. I loved the pool scene. I loved the nostalgic moment Rory was using to help cope in his grief with his mom. I don’t think it’ll be long now before things get revealed. No way can any of these characters continue their own charade.

Soo good soo hot! Damn Comsie. I take a break from your stories since you passed because..well because I just can’t. You were so fucking good at this shit. I found this story just cruising looking for something before I even realized it was yours and before you know it I’m sucked in and now I want more of this story. I want to see these boys bloom into soo much more…😭

Weinerdog is right. It’s going to be very hard and difficult but the struggle is going to be worth the finish. While GFD is Comicality’s Magnum Opus, this one is the one that resonates what life was like growing up for a lot of us. IMO, it’s his best work.

I just discovered this story and tbh …I’ve had a hard time still accepting your passing Comsie. God I hate knowing there will never be another masterpiece from your wonderful anxious loving mind on here. As for this story..I know it was writing with the intent to be a short story but damn you just get it off the ground gorgeously and it’s over. This kid was so precious and I soo want more. I want to learn more about that Irish heartthrob. Yes I’d be super pissed at my friends who outed me and I also have to agree they’d get a pass this one time too but they got lucky this time. I don’t think I would be able to forgive them if they did it again. Ugh 😩 why did you have to die Comsie. Other writers here come close to writing so accurately how well the nervousness and anxiety of coming out as a teen feels like but I think everyone would agree you have that “it” that makes it feel real..like you ARE that person. Such talent you had.

I’m sorry but I don’t trust Carter. I have a suspicion where this whole story is going given the introduction at the beginning. I’m going to reserve THAT particular thought for the time being however. I don’t yet know for sure if Carter is gay but I’m leaning towards yes. However, I think Carter is poisoning TJ’s mind against Randy.

Comicality was a brilliant writer to me simply on HOW he convey the character’s emotions. Sure he was able to pull from his own experiences in real life and how he felt. A lot of authors do. But he had that “it” factor that instantly made what all his characters relatable. They became real. Being able to relate especially in MOE as my experiences were very similar in many ways ..at least in how I reacted to what I experienced was almost the same. Not just the reaction to the abuses but the emotional struggle to keep from losing his shit..not many authors can articulate it quite like he could. That’s what made him special.

Mrs Jones is definitely a gem. One thing I wish I knew how to do back at that age was to be a little more open with my emotions but alas..those cliques in school ..yeah, I wouldn’t have survived the first week. Randy has the makings of an awesome friend and more

First off Bravo Ronyx on a wonderful start. I love how you’re coming right out of the gate with both character’s perception of the same interaction. TJ just doesn’t seem like he can get a break and man..why is it the nice guys always seem to get shit on? In these case, this seems it will eventually turn true for both boys. On to chapter 3

I was only being honest in stating that you have to consider all possibilities. It could be the most least possible reason but who truly knows? At the end of the day the why doesn’t really matter so much as the results. I can imagine how much work it is do this stuff and you’d be crazy not to weigh whether ornnot it’s worth your efforts on the end. I do suspect that maybe you have yourself a bit of a higher expectations just at little anyway at first and the lack of responses I think might’ve shocked you. I am surprised there weren’t more responses too. As wonderful as it is, this thing is a lot of work, especially for one person. I’m not a writer myself and even though I’ve been encouraged to write by others, even if I felt called to, I don’t have the time to make it as good as I’d want any story to be fiction or semi-fictional. I’m way too ocd. You’re welcome btw for my response earlier.

@Dodger lose interest? Nah. The only way that happens if it just got stupid but I’m too stubborn to quit once I’m invested 😂. I know this may be asking too much but I’d love to see a spin off. Story on Rory from HIS perspective from the beginning and backstory on him. I have an image in my mind of what he looks like and damn it makes me wish I was 14 again. I won’t lie, I know Robbie is the main character in this story but Rory has always been my favorite. Just a thought.

Some folks may simply not have “one” or are even ready to reply. Or they don’t care enough but in this group, I doubt that is it. Not all of us have experiences like he did. In fact I’m sure that’s a small number.

The interactions between Rory and Robbie are too cute. I think Rory simply found himself falling in love with Robbie and he’s so inexperienced and new at this plus the whole gay thing makes him super insecure. Let alone his age. Robbie needs to grab that boy by the face and sweep him off his feet. I think Rory might be the one to convince Robbie to get back into competitive swimming. I think Robbie needs to as well. Does the school have a team? If so, then he needs to get after it. As for Don, yeah reading off his phone makes him look even more suspect. He’s knowledge enough to know how to play the sales pitch game with numbers. Granted, they may have been right at one time, something tells me they’re outdated and he’s up to something. He may not be able to legally do much with the account directly but I think he is syphoning some off. A comment was made that Sue needs to be in attendance. I whole heartedly agree.

I’m just waiting for Robbie to be too weak to resist temptation anymore with Rory. Oh just kiss him already!!
