It’s true that Trevor is hard to trust and he’s definitely made himself a bit hated and with good reason for Justin to not trust him. But, everyone else in the lot hasn’t shown any reason not to trust him. So while this is a bit random and out of character for him to be so patient with Justin, it might be the side of him at his core that has kept him around at the lot. The only thing that bothers me about the exchange is that he clearly knows more than he’s letting on about Justin. He also isn’t divulging any history that’d be used regarding Taryn or Alec. Is his involvement there deeper than he’s willing to share? I wonder. Jeremy’s arrival is random and the news he brings only makes the history between Taryn and Trevor more mysterious. The news also makes the time even shorter for Justin.

I’m glad Justin and Rain sorta called a truce. That pissing contest is stupid. That said, she was right ..and so is he. She’s trying to act as an attention seeking bitch but I don’t buy it. It’s a ruse. It’s selfish and stupid.

Ok I can definitely relate to Justin’s feelings of inadequacy and self loathing. I’ve made a lot of ground over the years in healing from my trauma but damn.. it still likes to come back on occasion. For me it wasn’t the anger and frustration it was pain and fear of more pain.

I envisioned more of a Alan Rickman a bit older than his Die Hard days. Maybe Jeremy Irons. Someone British with a real educated yet visible slimy and a real snake like disposition

I think the conversation between him and Dylan was crucial. The only way I can see the prophecy being wrong is Justin having faith that he will be able to protect Taryn. It’s his faith that he will need to defeat Rage.

Justin needs time to grieve and come to terms with the fact that Jarrod got himself killed because he was not shy about his plans and also because possibly he was sniffing around about the mimic rumors and wasn’t being too quiet or careful about. Frankly it depends on what happens. That said, generally speaking, I try to live by the mentality of “Failure to plan is a plan to fail”. Now, obviously you cannot plan for every possible scenario, but do consider myself well rounded. Always have a backup for your backup plan and be flexible. I think one must be able to adapt on the fly…within reason. I’m not a HUGE prepper or anything but I do like to be somewhat prepared 😉

Honestly, I’ve got a spot well away from the city. My ppl wouldn’t be alone, but we’d have to start fresh and live off the land. No electricity. That wouldn’t be a problem. The problem would be keeping the outsiders out.

I almost put a sad face at the end of this chapter bc it looked like Justin went full hate mode and I was worried somehow in the melee that tyran would get killed. It’s not over yet but it got dicey there for a while
