I crave more background story and one thing that I’ve noticed is that the details on everyone’s story who they were before turning and how that happened is ..curiously absent. I feel like Bryson finally has realized and fine to terms with that Justin’s progression cannot be stopped. Might as well begin training. What I don’t think what anyone truly realizes is the blossoming threat inside their family in Michael. I don’t even think Justin is fully aware. I take that back. Kyra might be full aware. It’s about to get real now and nobody is ready. That is impossible.

Michael needs to be dealt with. And for that matter, his boy toy too. Something is gonna happen soon.

I think this is a big maturing point for Justin to recognize that not all vampires play fairly even within his own camp, er well..former camp. The fallout from this will be far reaching me thinks and it’s far from over. Plus, Justin reaching the church and seeing the wounded and dying must open his mind up to the harsh realities all the more soberly. It has to. 10-1 odds his roomie does not wake next week evening.

Frankly it’s Comicality’s best written story for many reasons. Chief among them is the main character. Having been abused and afflicted with PTSD myself, the author can perfectly put the reader in the main character’s shoes during panic attacks and depression. The doubt and struggle of hyper arousal and hypersensitivity and anxiety… sigh. The stress of all that is a very heavy weight to adequately describe to someone who is fortunate enough to not experience it. I can honestly tell you that there are thoughts that run through your mind during each of those times that outside of those bouts, are thoughts you’d never fathom of having let alone remember very clearly. But the author did it. It’s clear he created this story off his own horrific experiences and my heart aches he had to go through it. It just further shows those of us afflicted are truly not alone. No matter how much we feel we are. Getting back to the story itself. The story building and character building really made me feel like I was part of this story and that is not something I can say is done by many authors. Sure I might have allowed my biases from my personal experiences play a part there but it is what I felt. As grateful as I am for side stories on the other characters and their vantage points on this story, because they are really really good too, Zach is…sigh.. you can’t help but want to just hold him and rock him. I feel he is without question the strongest character Comicality has ever written. I only wish there were more stories, a continuation if you will. But the author has confirmed that this is complete. Alas if only one day he changes his mind…(hint hint 😘) just read it already

Ok first off, Justin babe, sigh… your instincts to not trust Trevor or Michael have been absolutely SCREAMING at you and you didn’t pick up just how badly. Nor did you really pick up on what Comicality was trying to get you to understand. But in true teenage fashion, I suppose that is to be expected. You reacted as a teenager at the end too. Not that I blame you one bit. Michael is truly a vindictive snakey POS and you still think you’re a big fish in this pond only you’re about to truly find out you aren’t the only one nor are you in a pond but a vast ocean. You better run kid. It wouldn’t shock me at all if Bryson booted you before he understood why you acted that way. I think some damage has been done now that might be irreparable or at the very least damn near close to it.

Both sides of this drama are understandably legitimate and yet also completely unavoidable. What trumps the whole thing is this. Justin is still green. There are apparently very dangerous threats out there still he isn’t aware of yet and frankly, considering that scavengers work in packs, I don’t know why even the most experienced and talented vampires would want to risk venturing out solo. At least use a buddy system. Justin needs to realize the groups actions were for the benefit and safety of everyone. But he was a real dick to Taryn and Dylan too. You can be pissed and not lash out at those who care for you. Granted the kid is still 14. So there’s that too. Give him a day to brood and a chance to see this thing they’re about to go to and I expect seeing how they behave, I suspect his perception might change his mood and hopefully he’ll have a better appreciation for the group

Let’s face it, Stacy is a dumpster fire floating down Main Street. The bathroom scene between Craig & Seth is going to be her final straw in her snapping. Not that she needed much anyway but hey, who’s counting? Seth’s mom, clearly playing favorites with Stacy doesn’t care to hear his side which is pretty sad considering he’s her son too. Granted, looking at Stacy, it wouldn’t shock me that momma ain’t much different given the right environmental combustible material and well..here ya go. Frankly this was bound to happen I think, their relationships coming to a flaming disaster I mean. To be honest, if I were Seth I’d be begging my Aunt and uncle to let me stay with them. One supremely chemically imbalanced female seeing red and you as a target of her obvious hate is bad enough. But 2 under the same roof? Yah nah bro I’m good thanks.

I think it has something to do with what Justin told him about meeting cosmi. His entire demeanor changed as soon as he did. Suddenly i have a little trust issues there given his change in behavior. Plus Justin picked up on it but didn’t take the thought further. Secondly, where’d dion ghost to? Surly he’d meet gyro. There’s something wrong within this entire circle of people at that junk yard. Something unsettling with group. Even Comsi told Justin to be careful and not say anything about meeting, that he’s being watched and others are looking for him.

As I said in one of the earlier books, you’re the best writer in this forum. Not to take away from everyone else, you are just on an entirely higher level of skill and it is the whole package with story building, grammar, consistency of story, spelling and typos, and perhaps the most important, content. It is admittedly, difficult to put down. But that said I’m not so attached emotionally to the characters as say in My Only Escape or New Kid or their off shoots. That said, it’s compelling enough to keep me invested..for now. I struggle more with Billy as that story is written completely different. I like long stories. With lots of side plots and this seems to have it. I am surprised I am able to look past the vampire stuff aaand ok I won’t fib and say it doesn’t interest me at all bc it is nice for something different. You never know Comsie you might convert me yet 😘😂
