Minister without portfolio is an excellent analogy. Only time will tell if he founds a vampire charity or not. Like many lottery winners, Greg finds himself in a world that is so different from anything he's ever imagined, and it will take time for him to adjust. I have faith that he and Leonard will find middle ground I read somewhere that one of the biggest mistakes an author can make is killing off, or not killing off, a character when it advances the story. I hope I'm not foreshadowing, but I hope I'm strong enough to make the right choice if I'm ever faced with it.

Things can't be perfect forever. I'm glad that I'm teaching 'vampire 101' in nice, easy doses. If you like, I could put out a chapter that reads like a textbook? I could introduce you, but then I'd have to kill you. Definitely things to consider before going out and changing everyone you meet. Leonard's a great guy, just a bit formal. Once the stress of their lives being in danger had passed, we endured another half hour of interrogation about several things, from the logical to the insane. Totally valid. Regardless if they age or not, vampires, if they choose to renew, will face the loss of loved ones throughout their lives. Those who renew will see it more, but those who don't will still live roughly 150 years and outlive all their human friends.

You seem to have forgotten how vampires age. Greg will age just like his buddies until they die, or he renews. Or did I misunderstand your comment?

I think that Greg was going to tell them, and seeing that, Tommy stepped in to protect Greg from the Council. We'll never know though, will we? OH, did I mention that James reveals a time machine in chapter ten and they all go back a week for a do-over?

I'm working on it and posting as they're done, so there's no schedule. Sometimes it's a week between chapters, sometimes two, and sometimes it's only a few days. It just depends on how the story hits me.

You read it wrong, @raven1 Greg is in an Escalade, at least until the Denali shows up. All kidding aside, thank you so much for your ongoing kind words about my ongoing words. Many times, the support of those following my stories has raised my spirits through some recent rough times.
