First time? Well, first time what? How about First times? Does first time clothed frottage count? How about first grope? First time anything penetrative - even orally - not till decades later. First male-on-male kiss? Even later. And first time open-mouth kiss with a guy - even later. I always knew I was a late bloomer, but things don't always happen all at once. The thing is, I ALWAYS knew I was gay - even when I didn't know what "sex" was.

"Stunned" is the right word for me. Too bad there isn't an emoticon to go with it. I used to think that nothing would ever shock me again after all these years, having grown up as a sheltered Midwestern boi whose introduction to Real Life in college was a real eye-opener. But after reading the second half of this chapter, I guess I'm still somewhat sheltered. Dayum! -

@Lee Wilson The thought has occurred to me that we ARE characters in someone else's story. Reminds me vaguely of a Hindu (Buddhist?) tale that our entire world is little more than the dream of a god. Who's to say that isn't so?
