    Chapter 5

So they paid for three months but moved out immediately? They could have stayed in their old place till the lease ran out. I mean, seriously.

    Chapter 4

Exactly my thought. And going off without talking it over with Sarah? Is Michael crazy?

    Chapter 3

If I'd wake up earlier, I'd happily binge this! But work calls - as does a Certain Someone I work with *sigh*
  4. Definitely has the "feel" of Real Life, you Devil you! You go, guy!

    Chapter 5

I suspect we all could take our own advice more often. I'm at a place like that right now, and even at this super-annuated age, it can get scarey. But then, I can be such a wuss 😉

    Chapter 3

I thought it was up to the older guy to make the first "move" - or am I being outrageously old-fashioned?

    Chapter 2

My parents divorced when I was a pre-schooler, but they always remained on good terms with each other. I have now buried both of my parents, but have been on good terms with my father's second family. It has all made life so much easier. Like begets like, I guess - if we're lucky...
  8. What a waste of manhood 😞

    How beautifully bittersweet *sigh*
  20. Color me ... confused!
  21. The story all on its own is already amazing. Adding the artwork and maps and stuff sounds fantabulous! You're going to spoil us 🙂
  22. Though this is by no means a dead-ringer for my own biography, there is so much here that speaks to me. By the time I reached my first year of university I had known for over a decade that I was not "normal" by any stretch of the imagination, though I had never acted on it at that point - though I had been dying to do so. Mr. Renkin and I are of virtually the same age, and I was very much a model of Repression by the time I left home for higher ed, having been trying to live in a "normal" world as much as possible. I can certainly relate! Good to "see" both @empath as well as @Summerabbacat. It's great to be back in the Land of Lincoln.
  23. Absorbing, to say the least! The mental images this story-telling is producing are wonderful.
  24. Oh, yes! This promises to be a Good One!
  25. Zounds!
