I just started reading this on nifty but saw you post here as well and as this site is better for reading, I had to come here to continue. This is simply amazing so far. Wasn’t sure what I was getting into but so glad I stumbled upon this. I am enthralled and it’s only chapter 2.

We all know Rusty’s dad is an ass, but I do understand why it would be difficult for him to believe Rusty. Yeah he is basically a stranger, but what he said about Rusty was true. Rusty was a womanizer party boy that took nothing seriously. We as the reader know him from the two stories and can attest to those facts. Anyone would find it hard to believe a womanizing jock flipped to go gay, with zero gradual transition. It would be one thing if Rusty was a quiet serious guy who never showed interest in women to come out as gay but to go from sex with every woman he could to cold turkey with one guy, and to know that’s it that’s the one. So while Rusty’s dad is not winning father of the year, I do have to agree with him. He didn’t even know Rusty was interested in a guy. That fault is on him and Rusty but more on him. I mean if you had a father that left you and your mom then got a whole new wife and son that would seem you were replaced or that he upgraded. So while both are to blame for recent events….99% falls on Rusty’s dad. And anyone would have a hard time believing a straight playboy is now engaged to a man so Rusty can’t fault people for that. What he can do moving forward is to show not tell as words are meaningless and actions speak truth. Plus I’m sure Rusty’s dad is jaded and doesn’t believe finding the one and that the “one” could change someone, but then again we can’t expect much from him anyway. Regardless Rusty just needs to do what’s best for him and point goes to him for telling his dad as he took the first step in being open and honest. Let’s see if his father will take the handshake for what it is and use it to get close to his son. Rusty has become the bigger man and that’s thanks to Matty.

I hate you sssoooo much. How dare you make me feel things. Emotions…..yuck. This was horrible. How dare you write something that is too good for this site and should be in hardback. I come to is website to read good mediocre stories not have my out look on life be questioned, my very existence lacking or start reading chapter one to not stopping until I finished with tissues all around me and not all from snot lol. But seriously this was written so well. The pacing and phrasing was impeccable. I’m simply astonished something of this caliber is on this site and not somewhere in print. The detailing of scenes to the drawing of emotions with such subtle wording is AMAZEBALLS.

Trust me it’s not a blessing for either party. Ex husband was just over 11 in and let’s say he had to learn to bottom as the “bottom” “me” was not letting that in me every day especially if I wanted to be able to eat during the day. In stories and porn it’s exciting but in reality it’s not fun or enjoyable. He told me before we started dating he tell guys he was 9.5 uncut so he wouldn’t scare the “good guys” away and not attract the “loose sloppy bottoms” he would attract if he told the truth. Needless to say he had to switch receive way more than he got to give lol.

Props to Aden for being able to just go with this guy and have no idea what’s his name or where he is going. Not the safest thing to do in this day and age but that is part of the excitement is that danger. And the guy seems like he knows when to be dominant and commanding but also when to be soft and comforting. Aden is screwed lol.

New Kid? Im so old and had him for so long that I know none of you are getting him. Instead I sit back in my lawn chair ⛱️ and just watch you all like all those in the stadium watching that soccer game 💅🏼🕶️

I don’t know what you all are going on about… BUT I claimed Rusty like on chapter 2 of Good Guys don’t Date Bad Boys back on AO3 so it’s cute seeing you squabble over a claimed man. Tsk tsk

I personally think Rusty does think of Matty as a boyfriend but doesn’t know how to express it. Think about it. Rusty has been straight his whole life and then he meets Matty. Pull Matty out of the picture and Rusty is still straight, so him being with Matty has to be very confusing. Plus Rusty seems like the guy who doesn’t focus on labels as labels are just words. Words have no meaning without something supporting it. Rusty is more non verbal communication. He is telling Matty they will be together for FOREVER. That to me is no where putting Matty in friend zone. Plus we know Rusty doesn’t want Matty to get a boyfriend, not really. So that is more evidence that Rusty wants Matty. He kissed him in front of people. Rusty has always been someone who speaks with actions not words. ex) you can say to someone you love them while having your arms crossed, scowl in your eyes and facing the other way. Even though the word love was said, nothing about HOW IT was said makes the word love mean love. You can’t expect Rusty, one who has always been corky and free to straight up say I love you. He is someone that will SHOW you he loves you by making you their entire world. And let’s face it…..no one spends more time with Rusty but Matty. He wants Matty there all the time, tells him he didn’t sleep well because Matty wasn’t by him, is always worried by his friends when Matty comes over that they will do something to make Matty leave. And there are so many more examples. Rusty’s actions speak more for him than words ever will. One reason….look at his dad. Growing up with that man where words were used to knock down, of course Rusty won’t use words for what he feels, his actions will. And reading more about Rusty in this second book really drives home who Rusty is. Rusty loves Matty, he doesn’t need to say it. Rusty and Matty have two completely different ways to look at situations. You have Rusty who looks at how Matty reacts to him for his answers and Matty who listens to what Rusty says. Matty is hiding his feelings from Rusty, Rusty isn’t by the way he acts. I for one who has been given lip service for many many years,,,words don’t mean sh^t to me as listening to words spoken to me that were lies, I focus on the actions as the honest communication. Words are just simply words. But what you say through your actions in life give a more honest answer that words could never give. Rusty loves Matty. His actions say it all. He may very well not realize what he is feeling because again this is Rusty. Rusty isn’t hiding his true feelings, he is very much an open book. Matty is the one who isn’t being fully honest. And that is going to be a problem because their relationship is so unbalanced. You have one who is in love so they will mentally view the relationship in a certain way, while the other is going through the emotions in real time and expressing those to the other. Rusty hasn’t thought that far ahead. He just knows he wants Matty. So that imbalance is going to cause issues and I think it will be due to Matty. My TED talks is done. Sorry. Laura knows how much I LOVE this story and so I couldn’t keep quiet. Lol

Ok either Matty has really rubbed off on Rusty (pun not intended or was it?) or he has always been this bright because the way he is handling Connor is puuurect 🐱(yes that pun was intended lol)

At first I was upset about you leaving AO3 but seeing all these comments on your story that so so so deserves it….I’m happy seeing how much more your work is appreciated like it should be. Think Ive finally caught up to all your works now. Lol

Ok and bought. Next you know I want this story but in hardback. Lol

Oooh I found you. I can breath easier. Now I have to figure out how to use this site. Lol. And did I see you published my other book? Well looks like I’m going to go buy it in the next 10 minutes. Off I go lol
